It's not good to talk to police so don't if pulled over or stopped. Plead the 5th. Tell them you do not answer questions -- you do not have to, but they will make you feel as if you do and attempt to intimidate you, threaten you &c.

They are hoping you will incriminate yourself to make their job easier and to give them reason for stopping you. Note 'What you say can and will be used AGAINST you in a court of law'. Most think their talking will HELP them in a court of law.

Tell the officer you don't answer questions and then do just that. Including when he or she asks if you know why you were stopped. Begin there by pleading the fifth.

    No problem.

And "beware the police are 'legally allowed' to lie to you."

Not at all but you might want to remember these words of Jesus also.

Wisdom comes from being informed not from being conditioned and propagandized. There is a big difference, El Mono.

Ah, I had no idea that modern day believers should be considered apostles (the audience that Jesus was talking to in this verse).

I can't imagine Jesus would want any of His followers past, present or future to put so much trust in the world's corporate talking heads as so many today do, El Mono. :)

In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me?
    Psalms 56:4 NAS77

That includes but is not limited to the list provided by InTheLight below. I will not spend my days fearing a skunk in every woodpile. Your world view is warped by an unfounded fear and a belief that God has removed Himself from our daily lives.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
    Daniel 3:16-18 KJV

Man I must be getting close to target now the flak is really starting to fly around! Praise Jesus!

You two must really want people to think being concerned enough for my fellow citizens to get informed so I can then inform them about what's really happening to our country is being fearful.

It takes more courage to speak out and try to make people aware of what's going on around them than to be silent or worse yet play the Devil's advocate for the people bankrupting the country both spiritually and monetarily like you guys are doing now.

If I were a betting man I'd wager both of you would have tucked your tails between your legs and ran off licking your wounds a long time ago if you had met with the same resistance I have here since 2004.

There is no nobility in your constant prattle. There is no courage found in declaring the power of God impotent.

Come, behold the works of the LORD, Who has wrought desolations in the earth. He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire. "Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.
    Psalms 46:8-11 NAS77

There's no honor in you defending the works of unrighteousness neither but that isn't stopping you is it?

Corporate preachers aren't the only one's that can quote the bible.

The moral of this story folks is the mere act of trying to inform people of their rights is tantamount to treason and heresy to the "majority of a couple" big centralized government neoconservative authoritarians here pretending to be conservatives. They'll try to transfer God's own power onto themselves to shut freedom down if their barrage of insults false witnessing and gaudy oversized images fail to do the trick.

Beunos noches dos monos! Hasta manana! :wavey:

A skunk in every woodpile? LOL

    I don't have to look.

    Use common sense, people.

When I was sitting there with my first dead baby in my belly, I didn't have far to look.

When my midwife asked, then my doctor, if I was eating the fish I caught (well duh, of course) or that was sold in the local stores, they informed me that they were okay for everyone to eat, just not PREGNANT people. Apparently, the locally caught fish were contaminated. By the water.

I wasn't looking for a skunk, it found me.

I'm not going to sit here and do nothing while people do wrong things. There is nothing in scripture about that. There's nothing smiling in blissful ignorance while you feed your children food and water contaminated with poisons and not bothering to get off your rear end and at least try to make things better for them.
There's nothing wrong with doing what Scripture says and taking CARE of our earth.

That it bothers you so much when people do is pretty interesting. It makes me wonder if you either feel some guilt for not doing so, or if you really don't believe it and simply won't until you either do more research or have something happen to yourself or a loved one. I don't believe for a second that anyone here thinks that chemicals in all this stuff really don't hurt you. Nobody can possibly really think that. If so, send me all your money. I promise you that it will be okay. FEAR NOT.

There is no Christian duty to sit back and not use the brains or the hands you were given. That's just being lazy.

That is where you are wrong. I could care less about all these supposed threats to my existence. You present Almighty God as if He were powerless against greed and corruption. Let me revise that statement. You don't present God in any of your posts. If He is so weak, in your view, in America He must surely not exist in places where Christians are persecuted.

If the sky falls, Chicken Little, it will be at the hand of the One who spoke it into existence. Standing fearless in the promises of God is a far cry from "defending the works of unrighteousness."

You have mocked my faith a few times including your last post. Feel free to continue. I have nothing to fear from you. (no laughing smilies needed).

Ah they just like to impress themselves by blowing hot air every once in awhile Gina. No one takes them serious but TND.

Together they become . . . Los Tres Monos! [IMG]

Actually, the proper word for your condition is paranoia. It is an impossibility that so many powerful people and institutions are arrayed against us, are united in their objectives, have been working it for decades, centuries even, and they still haven't won.

You're not telling people what's going on around them, you're crying wolf. That's not courageous, that's seeing monsters behind every tree.

I'm not advocating for anyone, I'm merely pointing out that there can't be boogie men in every branch of government, every corporation, every bank, every think tank, every news agency.

At times you post some thought provoking stuff but your constant allegations as to the pervasiveness of corruption across every sector of society is, well, paranoid.

You might ask yourself why you encounter such resistance from fellow believers? Don't you think that's odd? (I know, I know--we're all brainwashed and under the spell of the evil transnational corporations who have been poisoning us since birth. We're just helpless pawns in their plot for global domination.)

It just kind of blows my mind, Poncho, to have scripture misapplied. Pretty low. I suppose if it applies to one though, it should apply to all...

"But I need this medicine for my high cholesterol!" Nope. Fear not.

"But I need this medication for my heart!" Nope. Fear not.

"But I need this medication for my high blood pressure!" Nope. Fear not.

"But I need to lose twenty pounds for my health!" Nope. Fear not.

"But I don't want to go to the fundraiser the Masons are having." Too bad. Fear not.

"But I want to homeschool, the public schools are getting too wild." Too bad. Fear not.

"I can handle serpents and if I get bit I don't need no modern medicine, just faith." - - last words of Rev. Coots after he refused paramedics treatment after being bit by a snake on Saturday night.
