    Hi all,

    I cannot remember why I originally searched the internet to happen-chance on this forum, but it seems like a great resource. I am sure that my search had something to do with my current motivation of wanting to help inspire more participation from my generation, and the generations after, while not alienating the older generations of my church. I attend a very small, older, church in West Virginia. We suffer from the typical small church problem of a handful of people taking on many positions within the church leading to people accepting positions that they are not "Spirit lead" to fill and general church burn-out. I'm praying that this will change and through the last couple of months, have seen God working.

    Just to keep from retyping - here is my profile info pasted into this thread. :)

    "I feel God is leading me in the direction to help unify my church and its members, the local Christian community, and the community members in general. I believe God is wanting the leaders of His church (the body of Christ) to inspire and encourage more mission work, witnessing, and testimony within the local communities.

    My name is Rebecca. I am the wife to a wonderful husband, mother to 2 natural and 3 step children and full time employee in the mental health field. Worker for Christ, Sunday School Teacher, and every day Christian.

    Ephesians 4:11-16

    11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

    12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

    13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

    14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

    15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

    16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

    Thank you all for the welcome.
    Salty, I'm not originally from WV. I've actually lived all over the USA, but I do love this state! It is absolutely beautiful and has everything an outdoors lover could ask for!.

    Welcome Rebecca. What part of WV? I try to get up to McDowell County (Welch) to preach once or twice a year. My church has a missions partnership up there.

    I'm in central WV. I work in Nicholas, Webster, and Braxton Counties. Travel a lot and love it. You can't have a better state when you have to be on the road. However, I do not get down south much.
