Salvation was not obtained by Abraham apart from the sanctification of the Spirit and the belief of the truth wherein by the hearing of the gospel.

That was why Jesus had to descend into Paradise where He met the crucified thief that day to preach to those OT saints in prison awaiting the promise by hearing the gospel wherein salvation has been obtained.

The New Covenant was not in effect before the Old Covenant when that New Covenant is based on His blood having been shed.

They did not go up to Heaven after hearing the gospel, but was only resurrected after His resurrection as He leads the captive from captivity as the scripture says; He leads the way.. He is the firstfruit... He is our Passover Lamb for believers in Jesus Christ to approach God the Father by in Heaven.

Abraham could not put on Christ to be a citizen of Heaven until Jesus led the way to prepare a place for us in His House.

Otherwise, explain why the OT saints had to be resurrected after His resurrection "if" they were already in Heaven from before.

I's say by His grace & by His help, the OT saints were resurrected to testify that they had received the promised by the Seed Whom is Christ upon His resurrection, and they were no longer on earth because He led them up to Heaven as they could only approach God the Father by having put on Christ with Jesus leading the way.

So the OT saints were not hidden in Christ yet when His shed blood is not over them to say that they have been bought with a price and sealed as His.

Let start here which is a good admission on your part. You are quoting in part 2 Thessalonians 2:13 and admitting that "sanctification by the Spirit" which precedes "belief of the truth" in this textual order was necessary with Abraham. Now, what does Paul mean when he uses those words? Do you know? What does he mean by "sanctification by the Spirit"????
