I just now had this popup warning appear on my screen. Anyone else had it happen?:

Sorry if I overeacted; I've been gone for the past three days , had just logged on to BB and immediately got that full screen warning. I went back and posted this only in an attempt to warn the administrators or anyone else of a possible problem. I just finished a malware scan on my computer and no problems were found.

The pop up has never happened to me, but sometimes Dr. Bob scares me.

    :D

Nothing here, either... and I run an extremely tight ship security-wise. You might want to download and use the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

I'd second the thought about some kind of spyware or corrupting system.

    I personally use:
    AVG Free
    Zone Alarm
    SpyBot
    Spywareblaster

All of them are great and all of them are free. I think you've got a bug or something...

Take two pills, get some rest, and see if that helps...;)

Thanks you all. I do have Spybot and Commodo and the protection that came with Microsoft. These three have served me well for 2-3 years now. My computer-wiz son-in-law set me up with what I have now.

I got some sort of Trojan virus about 4 years ago; the only thing we could do with it was wipe out the hard drive and reload everything new.

Sounds like you encountered some spyware. Also download Spybot search and destroy. It's free. Just Google it.

I've tried some of those "free" ones like that, but they only find the problems. Once they find them, then they ask you to buy the program in order to fix or delete them. Does the Malware Bytes do anything other than find them?

Spybot doesn't do that. I've never been asked to buy anything.

Malwarebytes will clean, too. It is one of the very best and I work on computers. The difference between the free version and the paid version is that you have to tell it to update and to scan... the paid version updates itself and gives real-time protection.

For a serious infection I heartily recommend going to my friend's site and following his steps. These include Malwarebytes and all the software utilized is free. Here's a link:
