There is no rules God has to follow that declare he is forbidden from rescuing a soul from hell.

God can toss paper into a fire, wait till it turns to Ash, then turn it back into paper. He made man out of dust after all.

I discovered that the scriptures that say all shall be saved outnumber the scriptures that speak of eternal damnation.

So who is being biblical...the one who speaks of eternal damnation or the one who believes all shall be purified? Both.... But the one who says all shall be saved has more scriptures to support him/her.

    Here are a few:

    John 12:32 ESV /

And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”

    1 Corinthians 15:22

For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.

    1 Peter 4:6 ESV /

For this is why the gospel was preached even to those who are dead, that though judged in the flesh the way people are, they might live in the spirit the way God does.

    Isaiah 25:6-8 ESV /

On this mountain the Lord of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wine, of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined. And he will swallow up on this mountain the covering that is cast over all peoples, the veil that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken."

Yes, sinners are tossed into a lake of fire, but God is a consuming fire scripture says. God speaks of purifying his people as gold is refined in a furnace. God could use the lake of fire to purify and remold people. God can do whatever he wants to.

An intercessor can even get God to change his mind.

Exodus 32:14 Yahweh repented of the evil which he said he would do to his people.

There are no rules God has to follow. An intercessor can stop God from doing what he says he will do. It's biblical.

If a mother in heaven is sad that her son is in hell , and she begs God night and day for her son to be purified, and her son truly repents, there aren't any rules that tell God he can't answer her prayers. Hells doors are locked perhaps, but God has the keys. ;)

Where do you think we were all headed before Jesus Christ died for us?... Brother Glen:)

Romans 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

5:7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

    • Luke 16:19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
    • 20And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
    • 21And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
    • 22And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
    • 23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
    • 24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
    • 25But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
    • 26And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
    • 27Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
    • 28For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
    • 29Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
    • 30And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
    • 31And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. KJV

Have you considered what a terrible thing it would be to teach this if it isn't true?

If you are really appalled at the fate of the lost, would you not do better to go out, preach the Gospel and maybe actually save someone?

Every soul that God saves, HE saves from hell.

And if repentance itself is a gift from God, He has an absolute certainty that those in hell will never ever repent.

Look, if Annihilationism is a "thing", I'm obviously cool with that. To be clear, I don't think that's what Scripture teaches but I can see how someone would read some passages and arrive at that conclusion.

As to the duration: God grants us the grace to believe and be saved. If He chooses not to grant that grace to some, He has His reasons.

Hebrews states that to all is given but this life, and then judgement, and that is fixed and eternal!

God will never "rescue" any sinner from Hell. When the day of judgment comes, sinners will be cast into Hell and only those written in the Book of Life can be saved. Once someone is in hell, there is no returning to God.

And if somebody tells me their Buddhist mother died without believing in Jesus, I have to tell them that sorry , your mother is burning in hell for all eternity... And you really think that's going to bring somebody to Christ?

I knew a girl who didn't want to be Christian because her father committed suicide and was not a Christian. She knew that Christians were teaching that her father would be in Hell forever being tortured. Maybe if Christians were preaching that there is still hope for him, she would have been able to love God and be a Christian and save her soul.

I doubt it. People cannot truly believe if that belief hinges on the future state of a loved one. That would be simply choosing a self-help spiritually. Another issue is it would pale to biblical Christianity.

If she believes there is hope apart from Christ (apart from being a Christian in this life) then she shouldn't look for Christians to change to suit her view. If her father could be saved apart from Christ then so can she.

Well at that rate she will join him.

Christians should not preach lies even if it might make some weak-minded liberals "feel good" who don't like the Truth.

I'm not saying there is hope apart from Christ. I'm saying her father May discover Christ after his death and be saved through Jesus Christ... I'm saying it's a possibility, not a guarantee

    FALSE!

Her father ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT EVER FIND CHRIST. He is DEAD and there is NO SALVATION AFTER DEATH!!

Scripture doesn't offer this as a possibility. So the issue becomes, if one can be saved after this life, why should Christianity teach that idea as those who reject Christ are not without hope? Let people like this woman be a good atheist, Mormon, Muslim (what ever makes her feel better) and get saved in the afterlife. No need to bring her into a needless faith.

Yes, this is what Christianity teaches. It's what the Bible teaches as well.

Scripture does not say every belief must come from scripture.

I'm saying there's a possibility that a person can repent after death and Resurrection before being judged...

Many Jews were tortured to death in concentration camps I'm reading about. Those Jews did not know Jesus as their lord and savior. So after being tortured mercilessly day after day and dying , they just have to deal with worst torture in Hell .got it!
