Do you have impure thoughts? Are you ever angry? Jesus compares it to murder. A lustful glance = adultery according to Jesus. Are these willful or something in our nature we combat in the power of the Holy Spirit?

It's a no win situation. But Christians will not be in this situation, or if they are, they won't remain. “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” (1 John 3:9)

It doesn't matter. Divorce is not a New Covenant provision. No more than abortion ar any other laws God does not sanction.

Matthew 19:9 adds ‘except for immorality’.

It was still punishable by death.

I don't willfully sin. But I battle the flesh resisting impure thoughts and imaginations.

So, which sins do you commit against your will?

If you know something is sin, and willfully do it, you are not atoned for. Christians do not do this.

Again, when have you sinned against your will? Just answer the question, man.

Your issue is with Hebrews, not with me.

Again, what sins have you committed that you were forced/coerced to commit?

For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,[/][Hebrews 10:26 NASB]

What this verse is addressing is not a one time willful sin, but a life that is devoid of repentance. If one keeps on sinning without any sign of repentance, IOW.

“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,” (Hebrews 10:26)

It works like this. God says do not do this certain thing, and you do it, you are not atoned for but have the mindset of the reprobate.

Again, who put a gun to your back, twisted your arm behind you, and made you sin? You’re not answering my question. And I know why.

Did the military ever force you to kill someone in battle?

the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.[1 John 3:8-10]

You quoted this passage from 1 John 3. Again, the context is not that Christians won’t sin, because they do and will. Rather, it means they won’t live lives in rebellion towards God, but will repent of the sins they (willfully) commit.

    I never said it was.

However, a lost man who divorces and remarries before being saved, when they’re saved, that’s forgiven, blotted out by the blood of the Lamb. But you expect them to leave their spouse or remain with her?
