How to Safely Bring Groceries into your Home

The saturated paper towels is like a force field, as long as they are saturated with disinfectant it will kill all it touches.

I went a few days ago and when I arrived home I misted the counter with alcohol, misted the bags, placed the items on the counter and misted all the containers and wiped them with a paper towel that was wet with alcohol. I could have been more thorough but felt a virus would have trouble living through what I did.

 

I thought there was good information. Of note: the virus doesn't live well on food but microwaving is also a even more preventative (Although, I despise microwaved food!), that the virus lives much longer on frozen food packages - possibly up to 2 years, leaving non-perishable items out of the house for a couple days is a helpful hint, washing fruit and other common sense precautions that people may neglect.

In Physical Therapy school I had a course of where we had to gown up and go through a test to enter a supposedly infected room, do a procedure and then disrobe without chancing infect and it was eye opening to see how really easy it was to make a mistake that could cost you dearly. Serious stuff!
