    They believed and were saved due to them being foreordained!

    Here unstated is the bogus claim the lost cannot ever at any time seek God. But Luke 13:23 teaches some of the lost do seek God some of the time. And some, a few, find the narrow gate that leads to life.

    Here is the truth, the natural man can set his mind on fleshly desires or some of the time of some spiritual things. This truth is presented time and time again, just think of all the verses that say your faith or his faith and the like. Having faith instilled is never, repeat never mentioned.

    Those who readily received the Gospel that the Jews rejected in verse 46, were ordained because of choice

    That POV does not fit the entire passage.
    There is nothing in what Jesus says there speaking of the unsaved world getting saved, just that they are declared guilty as charged.
    First off the HELPER comes to help the believers, not the world

    starting in v8, He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, judgement
    Sin as the world does not believe in in Him (no salvation then)
    Righteousness, Christ is separated from the unbelieving world, where He goes, they can not come ( again no salvation then, they are unrighteous, not worthy of God and heaven )
    Judgement, unbelievers come under judgement, not believers (again no salvation here, those of the world have their spiritual father as the devil, they share the same fate)

    Convicts here means to declare the unbelievers guilty, so no salvation then either. If your convicted in court, your declared guilty, in scripture your guilty of your sins.
    So the Holy Spirit speaks that to the world.

    5 “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’
    6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.
    7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

    8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

    9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;
    10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;
    11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

    Strong's G1651 means convict, reprove

    to convict, refute, confute
    generally with a suggestion of shame of the person convicted
    by conviction to bring to the light, to expose
    to find fault with, correct
    by word
    to reprehend severely, chide, admonish, reprove
    to call to account, show one his fault, demand an explanation
    by deed
    to chasten, to punish

    the ones in 46? then, as they were not those "ordained" as in verse 48, shows that Jesus also died for the "non ordanied (elect)"!

    The death of Jesus was in the stead of the elect, so all of their sins were pardoned and made atonment for!

    Yes Gods choice. If one believes the Gospel it was because God ordained them to eternal life Acts 13:48, because they were Gods Sheep Jn 10:26, because they had been born again by the Spirit 2 Thess 2:13

    Here he goes again......"some of the time"??? Some of the time is not in any text.
    Never in the bible does it say...because of....it is always by or through faith.

    The truth is what God declares it to be. You say you desire truth but oppose it when it is offered.

    Only in the minds of those who do not read the whole Bible and take things in context.
