"Peru has 84 of the 103 existing ecosystems and 28 of the 32 climates on the planet, making the country the most ecologically diverse in the world. Peru also hosts the most diversity of birds, mammals, butterflies, and the Tambopata and Manu regions possess two of the most diverse flora and fauna forests in the world."

I've always been fascinated with the geography of Peru, from elementary school 'social studies'. Lol. there's an annual food jubilee there that my SIL and I have fantasized going to.

"The sun was very intense here."

I would imagine cool temps from the altitude combined with near equatorial sunlight could result in some serious sunburn.

We still hope to go back. Hopefully we can make it down to Colombia in a few weeks and from there go on down. But who knows? They may change the rules again and then we will have to make new plans.

Thank you. My pleasure. I have such a backlog of pictures and experiences that I think would be worth posting. I just hope my Serbo-Croatian laptop holds out. :Cool

Last week we were going to buy tickets to Colombia but suddenly they changed, only allowing vaccine passports. And just today we were going to book a flight to Costa Rica but just this morning found out that Costa Rica did the same.

So right now there is no other country open for us stubborn unvaxxed. So, yes, it looks like I will be able to write more about our BC travels. Before Covid. We are so glad that Mexico remains open. Aside from having to wear masks in stores and some temp checks things are semi-normal.
