JESUS HIMSELF quoted some of the 10 commandments differently.

??? ...don't see that in his posting rules:

"1. Be sure and post in response to others in a way you wish to be spoken to.

    2. Debate is fine but if all you want to do is win an argument then things may not go well for you here.

    4. If an admin or moderator instructs your on your posting please abide by it.

    5. Show biblical love to all on the board.

    6. If you mention the person in a post rather than an issue whether you attack their knowledge, character, or anything about them personally that is an ad hominem and therefore a logical fallacy. These posts will be dealt with.

    7. Strengthen your argument rather than tear down the poster.

    8. If you question the validity of the source being used be sure to show solid evidence for the sources unreliability. Otherwise your post will be seen as inflammatory.

    9. No caustic or inflammatory posts. If I have to define these for you, you may not be ready for boards such as this.

I have never understood how the KJVO crowd can be so ignorant. Half their claims are simply stupidity that anyone with any sense should immediately see through. When those nuts start talking about the KJV is more accurate than the oldest manuscripts in the original languages, I just shake my head. KJVO is really its' own level of stupidity.

Peter S. Ruckman taught that on purpose. Because there were case examples were it could be true.

That nut proved nothing. It was proved by real scholars in the late 19th century, before that nut was born. Those that proved it were real scholars, just like today. Ruckman uses lies and false witness. The scholars used facts. I talking John William Burgon, Scrivener and their students. Today's would be Maurice Robinson, Wilbur Pickering. These men, whether yesteryears or todays Scholars have nothing to do with ruckman or his lackeys. It was not ruckman, or any KJVOnlyist that has come up with any facks of their own. It was the scholars that have put forth the evidence.

I am a KJVO believer and I am not ignorant of the doctrines of the faith. I understand them and I never consult another version for clarity of a biblical subject (I do word studies in reputable lexicons). I say this with all humility but I am more equipped to teach sound doctrine than you are. I have read your stuff. Most KJVO believers would be accurate by making this claim, IMO. Your charge against Bible believers is a pompous charge. Considering the manuscripts, you had to qualify which manuscripts you speak of, knowing there are different manuscripts (if they weren't, it would not matter that they were older) and other people who are as sharp as you would disagree which are real. You have a faith issue going on because of the lack of solid factual evidence that your oldest manuscripts are the standard. My head spins when reading your boasting about how sharp you are.

I think some are ignorant of how KJVO is defined and applied by most of us.

Strongs and Young's concordance is in more than King James. Would you reject the concordance if it was connecting to a different English version?

KJVO tell lies and slander other people and Bibles. But there is a minority group of scholars that do not always agree that the earliest manuscripts are always the best. They are not KJVOnly and would have nothing to do with them.

Are you claiming to be humble while being proud of your claimed humility?

1 Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

Human, non-scriptural KJV-only teaching is not sound Bible doctrine.

I maintain that the doctrine of salvation is so simple that it is difficult to mess up even by different translations of different manuscripts. The person of God and his Son Jesus Christ and his work of redemption in providing salvation for all men on the basic of faith in what God said. A Bible is not required to be in attendance for a sinner to be saved from their sins. All that is required for sinners to be saved is a faithful preacher who has been saved himself and knows it to testify in his own words the wonderful salvation of God through Christ. God says it has pleased him to by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. The written word of God is more for believers who desires to know the mind of God while the hearing of the gospel is more for the unsaved man.

If one is concerned only about being saved then he need not be concerned about a Bible, but that is a rare bird. If one wants to know the mind of God he must have his words. The words of God are very precise. They can be easily corrupted and be made senseless, and they often are.

The Scriptures are the specific revealed, written words of God given by the miracle of inspiration to the prophets and apostles. According to the Scriptures, God revealed His Word to the prophets and apostles by the Holy Spirit (Eph. 3:5, 2 Pet. 1:21, 2 Pet. 3:1-2, Rom. 15:4, 1 Cor. 2:10-13, Rom. 16:25-26, Heb. 1:1-2, Acts 1:2, Eph. 2:20, Acts 3:21, John 16:13, John 17:8, 14, John 3:34, 2 Sam. 23:2, Luke 24:25, 27, 44). The word of the LORD came to the prophets and apostles (1 Sam. 15:10, 2 Kings 20:4, Isa. 38:4, Jer. 1:4, Jer. 29:30, Ezek. 6:1, Dan. 9:2, Jonah 1:1, Zech. 7:8, Acts 3:21).

The Scriptures do not state nor teach that the word of God is bound to the textual criticism decisions, Bible revision decisions, and translation decisions of one exclusive group of Church of England priests/critics in 1611.

This man who copied and pasted the above is obsessed with his own rhetoric, I believe. He said the above and then quoted addresses for the unsuspecting to look up to prove his point. Nobody can teach truth this way. I believe it is a sin to do it. Proof texting single verse addresses without context is not the proper way to teach such profound truths.

For instance, he wants to use Ep 3:5 as proof of the above. I am going to demonstrate how important context is in a text like this and show how it does not do what he purports it to do.

    AD 60
    Here is Ephesians 3:5.

    5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

He wants us to believe God is speaking about revealing his words here when the context says what is really being revealed here:

Eph 3:1 For this cause (of forming his body, the church of Jesus Christ by including gentiles) I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: (gentile-ward - the operative principle of grace as the method of divine dealing is a dispensation as it applies to gentiles)

3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) (This is what is being revealed, this mystery)
    5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

6 That the Gentiles (who? the gentiles) should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his (whose? God the Father's) promise in Christ (How?) by the gospel:
7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

Now what is being revealed here? It is the operative principle of God's divine dealing from the point of receiving gentiles, since Acts 10, into the same body and as equal with the believers of Israel, by the principle of "grace." It is the working of God that transcends, or if you like, fulfills the blessings of the nations in his Abrahamic covenant. It is the "gospel of God" the good news and glad tidings that God has reckoned the sacrifice of his Son Jesus Christ as the propitiation sacrifice for the whole world and the nations are now included. It is Paul's gospel. It is the good news that gentiles are being accepted one by one by God through Christ as "partakers" of the Jewish covenant blessing of redemption and are numbered with them who believe and are in the body of Christ that God is forming in this age.

This is super important to make this distinction because the operative principle of divine dealing with the covenant nation of Jews since the appearance of Jesus Christ into the world, and while they remained a nation, was the principle of "promise." Because two principles of divine dealing were in place in the beginning of this age we understand the language of Ephesians where distinctions are being made between those who had been promised the Spirit, the Jews, and those who had not, the gentiles.

Check this filfillment of the promise of the Spirit to the Jewish nation when Peter in his first sermon reaches back to one of those promises to explain what is happening.

    AD 30 t- a promise to Jews
Acts 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
    16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

AD 40 - The only promise being fulfilled here was the one to Abraham - In thy seed shall all the families of earth be blessed.
Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

    The explanation of history:

    Eph 1:1 thru 1:12

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. (the Jews)

13 In whom ye (gentiles) also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory...........

Excuse me, I got carried away writing about such wonderful truths,

It is impossible for national Israel to realize her national, eternal, and irrefutable promises that were given to Abraham while his people are scattered into the nations. This means they are yet to be fulfilled in the future because God said in He 6 it was impossible for him to lie to Abraham. That means the mystery of this age, the church of Jesus Christ, is complete and taken away before he keeps the promises of the Abrahamic covenant in full. It is an interim event of the Father that did not have to happen had Israel received her Mesisah.

You see how this passage has nothing to do with the subject of inspiration but one would probably not look because he has only an address and someone saying it does with proof texting.
