Christian Dance Music?

    That is my point. To me, the music mentioned in this thread is God honoring music. Of course, as you can see from this thread, each of us has different opinions as to what honors God and with that, it doesn't make any one us right or wrong, it just makes us different.

    What I thinking is God honoring is probably much differnt than what a French person would think, or a person from Africa, or a Christian from Iraiq or Iran. Every person is different and there for will like/dislike different music.

    In my heart, when I listen to this style of Christian music, that I am honoring God, and I am sure he can see what is in my heart.

    You keep that heart. Seek the leadership of the Spirit through the Word. Dont let the narrow minded pharisetical types try to be the Holy Spirit for you. God is awesome and He reveals Himself to us in so many ways---too bad there are those who want to put Him in their restricted boxes. Remember they are not the final authority---and just because they say its God honoring "type of music" or not God honoring does not make it so. God bless you as you continue on your wonderful journey in Jesus. Enjoy the abundant life in Him.

    yeah it is too bad... i was one of those... for 5 years of my "christian life"... i've come to the conclusion that because of that... i was not soundly saved - i may have been saved in a sense.... but not soundly saved. wanted to put God in a box - when all i was really doing was putting myself in a box.

    Are y'all familiar with Dance Dance Revolution? It is a video game where the participant tries to step on a pad in certain patterns, and it is a great workout - and it is nice because it gets kids off the couch. I wish they would come out with a Christian music version that would not only allow for exercising the body but also to uplift the mind and spirit in Christ.
