At the end of this program, I will have earned 61 graduate credit hours. The degree I am earning is 30 hours.

After this degree, I will still have more grad hours outside of my degree than in it.

Unfortunately, NONE of them will apply for teacher licensure, so I have at least 24 more graduate hours to go...

I know the feeling... I've accumulated tons of credit hours beyond the requirements for any of my degrees. When I found a class I wanted to take, I convinced my academic advisor and jumped in. I'd already be a Ph.D. in any other institution than SBTS...

I have an MBA. Though during my undergrad I minored in bible and majored in Accounting. I'm currently considering auditing graduate classes through Gordon Conwell.

I have 7 degrees above zero. Kinda like the temps in Minnesota, eh?

Not able to finish my PhD (have DMin and EdD back 25-30 years ago). Did all the research/field work in Syria/Turkey/Greece/Italy for a program on the Geographical Factors in the Ministry of the Apostle Paul. But health issues shut me down and now, with each day a gift and no expectations of long life, I am reduced to a "wannabe" in the ultimate terminal degree.

Since my sin was public, my confession also needs to be public.

Over time I have allowed deception and outright false statements to creep into my illustrations and life. This thread is one of them.

I have asked God’s forgiveness. I also ask yours. I have taken steps to make these things right. I have placed myself under the supervision of a local pastor who is listening to my sermons and guiding me as I try to make things the wrong things right.

God has used Christ’s words to let our yes be yes and our no be no. I have on my desk, the words of Proverbs 10:19 – “When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise.”

Therefore, for the near future, I probably won’t be online at BB. Thank you for being God's instrument in sharpening my life.

Tom, I'm not sure how this falls under this category. Did you not tell the truth about your educational level? Personally, I've always enjoyed your perspective here.

Additionally, did he lie regarding his educational credentials to his church?

If just on here, it's wrong, but it is not as big of a betrayal of trust as lying to a congregation.
