  1. Aaron,

    RFW is correct.

When Adam ate of the fruit in the garden he died that day spiritually and began his death physically. This sinful nature and spiritually deadness was passed on to all generations of man. This is the condition that we find ourselves in today. We are born spiritually dead!
Until we are born again, born for the second time, we are spiritually dead and cannot enter heaven. Jesus the second Adam, led a sinless life and therefore did not deserve to die. But He willingly went to the cross for us. In Him we can be born again, and His righteousness covers all of our sins. Our spirit is reborn. When God looks at us He sees us through Christ's righteousness.

Where exactly does the sin nature reside? Is it in the body, soul or in the combination of both? Does God imbue infants or embryos with corrupted souls?

  3. Travelsong......I'd say a little bit of all.

We are 3 part beings, BODY, SOUL, SPIRIT.

Like I said before, the Spirit has totally been made NEW ( ALIVE ) Our soul has been redeemed in the sense we now have NEW desires, thoughts, and our will is inclined to want Gods will. But our Flesh hasn't been redeemed.

That is why we have so much struggle like Paul was referring to in ROMANS 6:14-23.
The only thing Paul said was able to deliver us from such a struggle was Jesus Christ himself. AMEN !

    I honestly believe although I can't scripturally
prove it. That God does spiritually ( imbue ) so to speak those who are of innocence, babies, mentally handicapped et. God isn't beyond doing anything. He is a JUST God and I would think Justice would demand such a responce from God to take care spiritually those who can't themselves. Seems like the right thing to do !

Doesn't really answer my question. Whether you want to distinguish soul, spirit, will, intellect and so on is beside the point.

The question is where does our sin nature originate, at what point is it manifest and where does it reside? If as some claim, baby spirits are burning in hell doesn't that mean God created them corrupt?

BTW I agree with you that our corrupt natures must be a combination of the spiritual and physical.

  5. Yeah Travelsong is see [IMG]

Well since I'm not one of the ones who believe babies go to Hell at all. I guess those who believe that will have to answer ya.

    Sorry I misunderstood

I'm glad a few get something. I'm sure there are those who get it, they just are not saying anything.

Nothing, but somewhere you brought it up so I responded. If you don't want a response on something, don't post it.

I am not sure whom you are addressing here about being separated from God, but I posted very early on -- I think about the 2nd or 3rd post on the thread -- that I think babies go to heaven.

Be more specific about what you're calling the sin nature. Where did the sin nature come from, and how do babies get it?

  8. Marcia it's ok I'm not talking to you on the last part. It's just some are not getting a foundational principle.

  9. Aaron I think that was answered in ONE OF HIS SHEEPS post that we get it from Adam. It is a scientific fact that the blood is passed down through the father, not the mother. So through Adams Blood we are sinners through Christ Blood we are redeemed and made WHITE AS SNOW.

Well, you said it comes from Adam and resides in the blood.

What is it? Is it a microbe? A strand of DNA? What?

Did Adam have it before he sinned?

That's no fair. I asked first. </font>[/QUOTE]And we're still trying to get a complete answer! [IMG]

  14. I gave the complete answer Yes it is in Adams BLOOD after the fall. Why is this so hard to understand God isn't able to do miracles ?

Just because you can't accept my answer doesn't mean I didn't give you one.

So, Adam didn't have it before he sinned.

You still haven't explained what it is. What is the sin nature?

  16. Why do you think Jesus HAD to be born of the Holy Spirit, so he wouldn't inherit Adams blood passed down from the MAN'S dna.

  17. Yes I did ! go back and reread all my post. Not my problem if you don't get it. I'm not responsible for ones intellect :(

Oh, now it's not in the blood, it's in the DNA.

Okay, let's see if I have it straight:

No willful sin will send anyone to hell, but the sin nature does. It's inserted into the egg by a sperm, and so babies from the moment of conception have the sin nature.

Now remember, no sin sends anyone to hell, just the nature, and babies escape judgment somehow because of the atonement of Christ which covered everybody's sins, from Adam through Ahab to Judas and Hitler and the last man to ever be born.

So basically, everyone is born saved, but they lose their salvation because of some willful sin, which doesn't condemn anyone, it just negates Christ's blood. Then it's up to them to receive a second atonement which, despite any will of their own, they can't lose.

    Is that your belief?

  19. Yes and no. Yes we are all born with a sin nature which is passed down from Adams Blood.

No we are not saved before we reach the age of accountabilty. Lose our salvation and get saved again.

We are finite beings who will NEVER totally understand all that is from God. He can do any MIRACLE he wants too. If that means saving an INNOCENT baby or MENTALLY Challanged person from HELL, he can and will. Nice try ;)

  20. There is more in the Bible pointing to babies GOING to Heaven than Not.

    1) David said he would see his son again, obviously he meant Heaven.

    2) Jesus said hinder NOT the children they BELONG to me. He didn't say that about adults.

    3) We are born with a sinful CONDITION that can only be Changed by Gods spirit. And the ONLY way that is done is. Mark 3:28-29 Through accepting the gospel. Babies and mentally handicaped people CANNOT do that. So their sin is automatically forgiven.

    4) When the disobedient Hebrews refused to cross over into the holy land, a TYPE OF HEAVEN, God condemned them all to die, except: “Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it” Deuteronomy 1:39. So here God himself says that there is an age before a person has knowledge of right from wrong. This is the age of accountability. Quote from One Of His Sheep

5)A loving God would NOT send innocent babies and retarded people to HELL !
