If Lebron stays healthy I think you will have a few championships to celebrate in the coming years.

I will be in the AT&T Center tonight and will see the Mavericks lose another game 7. I sure hope the Suns win the other game because the Clippers would be a tougher matchup for us IMO...

    GO SPURS GO!!!

It should be a great game. I am pulling for the Mavs to win, but I will not be surprised if the Spurs win it.

With the Mavericks winning game 7 tonight obviously this little wager will not become operative.

Congratulations to the Spurs for another great, exciting season. [IMG]

Best wishes to the teams still left in the playoffs. [IMG]

    DIRK!!!!!!

When ManU hit that three to put the spurs up by three I was on triple suicide watch!

The mavs had to beat both the spurs and the reffs tonight, I know the spurs fans thought the first three games were pooly officiated but the free throw differential tonight was unbelievable.

Dirk played a great game, and the mavs came out and whipped the spurs in the ot period after being outplayed in the entire second half.

As a mavs fan, if the mavs would have lost this would have been one of the best all time nba series - as we won, it was the best!!

I dont mean to gloat too much, but man what a series.

Hey, you Mavs fans should be very proud of what your team accomplished in this series. The Mavs controlled the pace in all seven games. Every game was an offensive game, not a defensive game as the Spurs would have preferred. There was no way that the Spurs could expect to match the offensive firepower of the Mavs in a high scoring series. Every time the Mavs broke the 100 mark, they won the game.

If it comes to pass it would be a really interesting NBA finals between the Mavs(who want the score to be over 100) and the Pistons(who want the score in the 70s). It would clearly be a series decided by which team could force its will on the other team for four out of seven games.

Of course, both the Mavs and the Pistons will face very stern tests in their respective conference finals and will have to be playing at the top of their games to make the NBA finals.

    Great series, great game.

I thought it was over when Manu hit that 3. But Dirk just would not let them lose tonight.

I hope the conference finals are this good!

Yep, I think what I saw on Nash's face was a smirk when they mentioned his old buddy Dirk !

I taped the game so I will have to watch it again. I still think the Mavs got the key calls at the key moments. And I heard even Barkley say that Duncan was filed on the last play of regulation. Dallas got that call I believe in game 3, but we didn't get it. Oh well, I hope they get rid of half their team and get some new young, quicker blood for next year.

After beating the defending champs on their floor in Game 7, I'm going to hop on the Mavs bandwagon. Of course, I joined the Cavs bandwagon also, so I'm hoping the Dallas fans don't push me off. :D

    </font>
The Pistons are no longer the "lets keep the game in the 70's" team. They have lots of offensive firepower with all their starters capable of scoring in double digites plus 3 guys off the bench in Hunter, Mcdyes, and Delk.

They are also one of the best 3 pont shooting teams in the league. Sure they cooled off during the Cavs series, but by the 3rd quarter of game 7 all that began to come back.

Oh, and I doubt the Mavs can consistently score in the 100's against the Pistons D which has suddenly re-emerged.

Lets get them there first - I think that all four teams left have a legitimate shot at winning it all. I worry a bit that the mavs will come down hard off of a playoff high and throw away one of thier first two games at home. Phoenix can run and shoot. The wild card this year for the mavs is Avery - he has them playing D for the first time in the Mavs history

Detroit will have its own problems against Miami who is playing well now and is rested. Any time you play a health Shaq, throw in wade, walker et al it makes for a tough series

AF, let me work on this with you, I know you can do it... "The Mavs beat us, they were the better team this series." [IMG] </font>
Let's work on this with you... Duncan was fouled... The replay also showed alot of contact with Ginobili... contact that the Mavs consistently got calls on throughout that game and the series.

This was however the first game that Dampier and company came close to being called for their fouls on Duncan... but I doubt that would have been the case had the game been close throughout.

OTOH, Pop choked. He let Dallas dictate style and pace with a predictable result. I love Parker... but he needs to take the offseason and learn how to shoot again. He was pathetic on anything outside of 12 feet.

Nowitski was impressive and consistent. He should have been the MVP.

If Dallas continues to play like they did in this series, they should win it all.

As was Dirk at the end of game 6 in a similar situation.

I just get tired of when people's teams lose they automatically blame the officials. It gets old. There were a lot of blown calls in the series, but it was not just against the Spurs.

Why can't anyone just say, hey my team got beat? The other team was better in that series?

This is a great point and a much bigger reason why the Spurs lost than the officials. Pop got outcoached by Avery.

I agree completely. He just simply refused to let his team lose last night. He took them on his back after they could have easily folded after Manu hit that 3 pointer.

Dirk is becoming one of my favorite players in the league. But everytime I see him I think of Ivan Drago from Rocky IV "I must break you." [IMG]

I agree. If they play the Pistons it will be a great battle to see if they can force Detroit to play at their style as they did the Spurs. I am sure the Pistons fans around here will scream that the Mavs won't be able to do that to the mighty Pistons, but the Spurs would have said the same thing going into this series. So it should be great!
