Re-read your post. You never said the women had been informed of the rules. That's why I've kept on posting in this thread.

    See?

Sounds like the doctor may be taking legal action with the backing of a large firm. Hope it was worth not simply raising the $$$ offer and having someone leave voluntarily. The practice of overlooking should make people think twice about believing that an airline can be relied upon to get them to a critical destination.

Looks like the officer who dragged the guy has been benched pending review.

The Chicago Department of Aviation said Monday afternoon that it had placed the security officer who pulled the man out of his seat on leave pending a “thorough review” of the situation.

The aviation department said in an emailed statement that the incident wasn’t in accordance with its standard operating procedure and the officer’s actions “are obviously not condoned by the Department.”

The department confirmed that all three men who were seen on video talking to the man who was removed from the flight were aviation security officers.

You can rest assured there will be the passing of the buck from United to the law enforcement officers.

However the pilot could probably have ended the fiasco at any time.

You know, even though the doctor got a raw deal, I don't believe that I would have gone into hysterics. Unless I was on a flight to see a dying relative or something.

It looks like UAL's stock price has taken a hit after this incident.
