I thought Canterbury was Primate of all England, not York.

IIRC, Canterbury is the primate of the CoE. While York is the primate of the RCC in Great Britain.

The Archbishop of York is primate of England; the Archbishop of Canterbury is primate of all England.

But really: Is this a top-level issue for the archbishop to be taking on? I would have thought battling apostasy within the church would be a bit more important.

Of course, I also wondered why so many American evangelicals were so intent on propping up secular usage of "Christmas" when most Americans have exchanged the awe of the incarnation for a season of indulgence, useless gifts and feel-goodism that has little to do with Christianity.

BTW: I suspect the title is meant to echo the that of the "The Great British Baking Show."

Yet Cadbury have no problem with charging consumers to halal certify their products...
