There is only one Church - the body of Christ.

Ephesians 5:25-27 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, 26 so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.

Everything in bold is speaking of the Church.

Those who say that we should condemn California would do well to read Jonah.

There is no evil on earth that is greater than the power of the Holy Spirit.

Nor are we at liberty to condemn our lost neighbors.

We might have to do the Escape from LA route, and have big walls erected around CA to keep it apart from rest of USA!

Well, then Jonah must have been a Republican as that is how he felt about Nineveh.
    Good thing he never went.

First time visited NJ was when married, as Inlaws lived there at the time. It reminded me of Flint, Mi, all grimy and oily...

You can buy a palace of a house there for a thousand dollars. Detroit is a candidate for bulldozing, not a wall.

Missionaries to CA? Domestic missionaries? Hmmm.

Building on this, what about age group missionaries? Reaching 12-17 years olds with creationism?

"Home" missions have a long established tradition in the US. FWIW, it was a home missions question that was the proximate cause that split the Northern Baptists from the Southern.

i don’t see kids today, particularly that age group, truly listening to adults in any significant way. In short, we have spoiled them

In the 18th and 19th centuries, the sending of church planting missionaries to the western "frontier" or lightly settled areas was a well-established practice. At one time, there was a Northern Baptist Home Missionary Society. The Triennial Convention for Missions supported both foreign and home missionaries. However, in the 1820s and 30s, anti-slavery sentiment grew in strenght amoung the Norther and Midwestern Baptists. So, they came to a point that they did not want to support slave holding missionaries. Keep in mind at that time, Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and Texas were considered "frontier." The economies in those areas were such that any domestic help (maids, cooks, or housekeepers) or farm help (one or two hands) were more than likely slaves. Added to other issues and the split develops.
