I'm of the opinion that there is no such thing as "traditional" Christianity. There's only one way to heaven. You either take it or you don't.

I used the term "traditional" Christianity to distinguish those church attendees from "biblical" Christianity, born-again believers. Some major Protestant denominations, as well as the RCC, consider the "way to heaven" to be a birth right. Historically, most of these denominations have not posed a threat to a stable society. They are convinced they are following God's will and thereby try to be obedient to His teaching, the ten commandments, etc., as a starting point. However, when those teachings are no longer a guideline to their lifestyle because they are not being passed on, I believe, abandoning said obedience will lead to a less stable society.

Those who are spiritually dead in their trespasses and sin have no ability to make a spiritual decision to "either take it or not".

I am certain you will agree. :Wink

I would quibble with this. The many persecutions of those declaring biblical truth by the RCC, up until the 20th century, is evidence that they do not traditionally hold to the Commandments that much. I would say the same of a number of magisterial Protestants until the 20th century, as well.

I will not quibble with you, but they will. They probably would take the position that the poop was attempting to fulfill God's by riding the world of hypocrites, etc. I did give myself an out: "Historically, most of these denominations...".

Have a good day and quibble on. ;)
