Yes. I admit it. I get angry when the truth is ignored & reconstructed to suit a narrative. I get angry when Keith Ellison gets a pass, while Judge K is crucified
without evidence. I could post McCain ‘tributes’ the rest of the day if you would like. Does that make me angry? Nah, just makes me feel better that perhaps some will stop & question whether he deserves all the glory he has been getting.

Here’s another more recent thing he did from the grave. His right to attack from the grave, but not my right to be outraged by it?

Indeed.... imagine a Christian (any professing Christian) waiting 30 days.... a BB moritorium to not act crude so they wait, probably put it on the calendar... on Sept 25,I can attack .... oh boy! Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good workes, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

The late Senator McCain was a war hero, and I agree that a 30 day moritorium on anything critical of his politics was a good suggestion. I also believe that Senator McCain's record needs to be evaluated fairly. He deserves kudos for his repeated calls for transparency, campaign finance reform and support for the military. Unfortunately, he was not a conservative. This was clearly revealed in his presidential campaign against then Senator Barack Obama. There was no discernable difference in their policies. Hence, he lost convincingly. He had an opportunity to drive a spike into ObamaCare but let his fued with Trump influence his vote. He despised the Tea Party movement and ideological conservatives when the latter flexed their political muscles. He was a member of the infamous gang of eight that proposed immigration amnesty. In short, Senator McCain was more of a moderate Democrat than a conservative Republican. None of this is an attack on his character. It is a statement of his record and accomplishments.

So why would you expend energy to fight a dead politician?

A view is a comment on a record, the same as voicing an opinion & you what opinions are like.

I had always considered McCain a hero. Before he died, I read that he and his chief of staff had engaged the IRS to go after his political opponents, literally to put them out of buisness.

That changed my view of him, before he died, and caused me to view all the testimonies and accolades after he died with a critical eye.

Does it matter now? Well, I don't know. But it matters to me that we see people, especially our heroes, with clear eyes, warts and all.

OK... on cell and typing quickly

Again, your viewpoint (a view from a point) is really nothing more than an opinion of the man based on your perseption. But we’re you in his shoes when he was a prisoner of war, for example. Have you ever had brain cancer? Could you tell me what was going on in his mind? Have you ever gone through chemo and Radiation treatments....are you aware what that does to you?

I for one will not throw rocks... rather when he died I let all animosity go. RIP. The End.

Take a chill pill. Who is throwing rocks? I said he was a war hero. Go back and read. As far as his record as a Senator, that is in the public domain. I stand by what I said. He was more of a moderate Democrat than a conservative. You do not have to agree with me.

No bone spurs, I did have a serious bout with bursitis a few years ago. My shoulder is still a little stiff.

Radiation treatments with a cocktail of chemo could loosen that up for you, briddle out your bones and cause hair loss as well as hearing loss... you might also get chemo brain and as a side benefit nausea and exhaustion. Try it some time cause I guarantee if you have bone spurs or bursitis, it will be a piece of cake.

I watched my brother take chemo treatments for leukemia that literally peeled the skin off his face, hands and feet. Please don't suggest I "try it sometime". It is an outrageous thing to say, and deeply insulting to me.

I don't believe not experencing cancer personally disqualifies me from commenting about John McCain's use of the IRS to go after political opponents.

Even good men can be corrupted by politics. If McCain can be corrupted, who can spend decades in Washington and not be?

Maybe it's a good argument for term limits.

Imagine any Christian name calling a fellow Christian, having his post deleted, & five minutes later he is being self righteous, & admonishing others, you can’t make this stuff up.

We can’t comment on McCain because we haven’t been a prisoner of war or gone through radiation or chemotherapy ?

That’s the silliest thing I’ve read in a long time.

As someone who had been through chemo, and radiation therapy I say that’s hogwash. McCain deserves the same scrutiny we give Ted Kennedy.
