Is anyone else confused as I am about the amount of liberal Democrats that are in leadership positions within our Government? How do they get elected and then ride to the top with the platforms and positions they promote?

I'm talking about them in full support of letting illegals into our country, and then allowing them Welfare benefits. Destroying Marriage, destroying sexual identity, allowing pedophiles into little girls bathrooms, abortion on demand for any reason, using our tax dollars to cover up sex crimes by our congress.

It's well established over the past 60 years that Democratically run cities are failures(Detroit, St. Louis, San Francisco). The new Democrats now double down and are pushing total Marxism and are not afraid to shout it from the roof tops.

I have only two answers to this issue. Either our country has fallen into anti- Christian foes, or the Democrats CHEAT. I think it is more of the later. We saw how many instances in our last election of how the Democrats stuffed ballot boxes all over the country with dead people and people voting numerous times.

If our authorities cannot stop the Democrats from cheating they will increase their efforts to never allow anyone with morals to win again. Let me know if I'm wrong.......

I agree carpo, but I have to think cheating is required by the left because the majority in this country will never support their positions. Without cheating I believe Democrats will always lose unless they back off of their globalist platform.

No, I am not confused at all. For the last 20 years or more our schools have not taught much about our nation and the constitutional Republic that is our system of government. Couple that with the radical leftists from the 1960's who have been in charge of our young people at colleges and universities and we now have the kind of people in government who are actually getting elected to office. Things have been turned upside down as "rights" are now considered privileges and "privileges" are now considered rights.

    Who is actually in charge?

Should we not appeal (daily) to the King of Kings to both make our own hearts wise and harmless while also interceding for the rulers to work righteousness.

How do the liberals succeed in elections? By “community organization.”

Conservatives rarely move outside their own box to influence, however the typical political savvy liberal community organizer is militantly involved in changing the social structure by confrontation.

Generally that leads to liberals being disrespectful of conservatives, of grasping any useful tool to insightful actions, and mocking authority because authority represents the oppressors even when liberals are the rulers. To the liberals, there are always oppressors.

To community organizing liberals, the oppressors are always the conservatives and conservatives are always “deplorable” no matter who is actually in charge.

So in places we’re liberals are in charge, the liberals must be vigilant to continue to oppress the conservatives.

Motto of liberals: let our voices be heard.

“No justice. No peace” doesn’t mean liberals will be peaceful even if justice is the standard.

True. I don't think Civics is part of the high school curriculum any more. Don't know when it was eliminated.

Unfortunately, the Dems seem to be a lot more unified than Reps (especially the Conservatives). How do we come together when so many Reps are almost as intent on destroying the President as the Dems are? Carpro's quote from Reagan is so very true about freedom being so close to extinction.

But the propaganda machine is powerful. The way they “cheat” is widespread, intensive, and effective. The MSM, entertainment media, and educational institutions lean heavily left. Add to this illegals with amnesty, chain migration, and anchor babies and you have a large portion of the country with no sense of our historic constitutional republic.

    Old Hebrew Proverbs Say:
29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
28:28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.

Yes, and indoctrination of leftist tenets are now ingrained in the curricula of the public schools and nearly all of the universities, with left leaning teachers and professors to do the job. These leftist tenets run counter to our constitutional republican principles, but there’s hardly anyone there to point it out.

The main article does not really seem to get to the heart of the problems.

Only 25 percent of U.S. students reach the “proficient” standard on the NAEP Civics Assessment. White, wealthy students are four to six times as likely as Black and Hispanic students from low-income households to exceed that level. Here’s why: Students in wealthier public school districts are far more likely to receive high-quality civics education than students in low-income and majority-minority schools.

OK, but why? Perhaps because many more of the families of the lower income and minority school children don’t have the right background, the right foundation on which to build. Not easily fixed quickly.

    Also from the article:

All 50 states require some form of instruction in civics and/or government, and nearly 90 percent of students take at least one civics class. But too often, factual book learning is not reinforced with experience-based learning opportunities like community service, guided debates, critical discussion of current events, and simulations of democratic processes.

OK, but why? Perhaps the students simply don’t have the basic skills and necessary understanding to undertake the more interesting, more advanced activities. But can they be regrouped so that some could benefit?

I witnessed something akin to this in one of my public school science classes many, many years ago. Only 4 out of 30 students were able to handle the basic curriculum. The teacher shook his head and ordered 26 lower level texts to accommodate the situation. Today, I suspect he would have to order 30.

If you read further, you'll see that the "all 50 states" is not really true, and many give them an out by substituting "social studies". Also remember this is the NEA talking and their main purpose is to always CYA.

I've talked to recent graduates from the high school I attended 50 years ago. None of them had a Civics class. Also my youngest child graduated in 1995. None of my 3 children took a civics class. . It really was required 50 years ago. Couldn't graduate without it.
