You know there are times on this site where we don't always agree with each other on certain issues but I'm sure we all stand in agreement that all you beloved brethren living in Florida that the Lord will give you the wisdom to know what you should do, to stay or go. I suppose the Lord's answer to that might be different for each one depending on where you live. I pray that the Lord will keep you all safe and that peace will be upon you and your families as well! We stand with you in prayer! God Bless! :Thumbsup

Thanks. We're staying put. The problem with bugging out is that there are essentially only two major roads out of Florida (three if you count I-75 on the other side of the state) and I-95 is a nightmare even on a good day.

All our storm preps are ready. The only thing I know of that I have to do is go over to my snowbird neighbor's house and close his shutters.

Life pretty much goes on. A buddy of mine asked me the other day to come and sit in with his band tonight and as far as I know, we're still doing that. Eagles tribute show tomorrow. I think it's still on.

Sunday afternoon, I expect them to put a curfew in place.

If I knew that I would have stayed in Tequesta yesterday. "Just another Tequesta sunrise..." LOL

Gas and water are already hard to find here in the Orlando area.

I go fishing out of Tequesta sometimes.

The band is called The Long Run. They're pretty good.

They do a lot of tribute bands here. Just saw a great Tom Petty Tribute.

We have a Wawa, a 7-11 and two mom and pop gas stations here.

Wawa is mobbed (although they have marshals and are getting people in and out very quickly) and 7-11 is a war zone.

But there's nobody at the two mom and pops.

If you don't have water by now, you're not getting it.

Went to Publix last night to get some ice cream and there weren't any people in the store, but several aisles were picked clean.

The family that owns the golf course behind our house is friends of ours and the son who manages the place told me that if our lights go out, to come over and take all the ice out of the ice machine at the outside bar.

    So we're good.

We live in Florida (Zephyerhills) and I won't be home until Tuesday or Wednesday, so my wife will have to hold on until I get there. We live in an RV so it's not so bad if power goes off for a few days. I'll just hook up my solar panels and we will still have lights and power to our pump for water usage. I always keep my water tank full and we have the pooper so we are set. Thanks for the caring words.

Washington State here - no expectations - low 80's and partly cloudy today.
Although my son JoeD and family in Davie Florida are a little nervous.

It now looks like it will not make landfall in Florida. We will see.

We have property in Northern Vermont, a place where my wife does not want to live. On the phone yesterday I told her: "See, we could be nice and safe in Vermont right now". And her reply was: "I would rather deal with hurricanes then the cold".

Hmm, I thought you all WERE snowbirds...:)

    [add]

Oh. Wait. Duh. If you were snowbirds you wouldn't be in FL this time of year...never mind.

    Agreed.

WA NW is not cold in the winter. Seldom snows here. Pacific coast.

Snowbirds? According to my wife that is a bird in a Peterson Field Guide. I ain't getting her out of Florida, the only way will be in an urn. We are here for the duration, and I remain here with her as a good and loving husband should, albeit "in protest"!

Dorian now a Cat 5 Hurricane. Hopefully it will stay on the current track and not make landfall, else this would be worse than Katrina.
