'I am worried that we use a kid like this, who arguably should be getting treatment because she's said she's had anorexia, said she's got Asperger's and said she's battled depression,' he said.

'As a parent, if this was my child, I'm not sure I'd be putting them on the world stage.'

Dr Carr-Gregg said he was worried about Greta's future, her current psychological health and how it would impact other young people.

How dare they allow this show of disrespect from a child who is already dealing with mental problems, thanks to her parents. Give her more power? No, put her in cheque, tell her it is not the way you talk to adults, & escort her away. She has no right to address adults in that manner.

When I witness how children are being raised today, in the friend zone, ‘what would you like to do or say sweetheart?’, it makes me gag. Children need parenting, not more buds. It’s an abdication of duty by parents. It’s selfish all around, and doesn’t create young adults who have respect for anything but what they want, and how they want it. Well, isn’t that special?! When you see a child having a meltdown, they are looking for the line, they are looking for the adult to be the adult, which will give them the security that the adult is indeed there to handle things, they are not really looking to be rewarded for bad behavior. If you reward it, you will have a miserable child who will escalate the bad behavior next time. How far does that escalation go as they become entitled young adults? Sorry for the rant. This is a sore spot with me.

 

I suspect the reference was not to this world at all. Some of us are much closer to an out of world experience whether Jesus returns soon or not.
