Because Turkey wants the land the U.S. promised to the Kurds IF they would help us get rid of ISIS. After more than 11k Kurds died, Trump pulled us out and gave the territory to Turkey and established a foothold for Putin and the Russians.

As usual, the greedy daddy's little rich boy sold the Kurds out, giving the land to Turkey and Russia, and to his buddy Putin, to divide.
