You are reading into the article what is not explicitly stated nor implied. We disagree.

No, he doesn't say vote for the Democrat. What he does say is to "remove him from office by popular vote" if the Senate fails to remove him and they won't. Now, how can a voter remove him from office? By voting for someone else,! How do you do that? Vote for another candidate in another party. That could be the Green, the Democrat, the Libertarian, and one of them will win if Trump is voted out. Now, do you think anybody other than the Democrat will able to do so?

Upon reflection, I think Mark is trying to suppress the Trump vote rather than boosting the others. It's working with you.

First, I could not, in good conscience, vote for President Trump in 2016. I also could not vote for Hillary Clinton. Neither one represents a Godward leader who represents me. I wrote in my candidate.
I will not vote for either party in 2020 if President Trump is renominated by Republicans and there is no person that Democrats could put on the ticket that I would vote for because their platform is immoral.
Therefore I see myself as an exile in a godless land in which I pray for the peace of the city in which I live. My loyalty is to my King, Jesus, and no other. Come Lord Jesus.

In reality, who do you imagine has been such a presidential possibility in your voting lifetime?

This is the problem with many Christians regarding politics. They imagine that only someone with a pristine reputation would be worthy of their vote, thus letting ever worse politicians assume the lead roles, voted in by those with nearly opposite moral standards to their own.

One thing about American politics, it is no one's business whom you vote for, if you don't want to share. But with that sacred right to privacy being the case, there is zero wrong with voting for the lesser of two evils, and a lot wrong with allowing those with much lesser morals spiral the country ever downward.

The Dems are so despicable in comparison that Trump isn't just head and shoulders above them, he towers above them so that they're not even worthy to kiss his feet.

Trump is the only President of either party who has been willing to expend political capital for the advancement of Christian causes. And a Christian magazine wants him gone? They must be out of their minds.

On the flip side I see many Christians working to control history and not entrust their lives to God's Sovereign hand. When God doesn't do as they worked so hard to manipulate and plan, they get mad and say the entire world is falling apart and God is coming back soon unless their plans can be reworked. Faith gets placed in the plans and politics of men rather than trusting that God has this whole thing worked out perfectly according to his Sovereign direction. If and when peace leaves the city in which we live, we pick up and move on. There is no amount of human stuff that we accumulate that is worth killing another person over it. God gives us our daily bread. Let us be content to rest in God's perfect plan. Give to Ceasar what is Ceasars and to God what is God's.

It would be wrong to place our faith in our political system, or fail to use our influence toward good within that political system. Merely denouncing a system or a leader as not being Christian enough would be ridiculous, and unbiblical.

But CT and its editors present a particularly odious form of evil by agitating for the advancement of Sodomy, aka LGBTQ+, in the name of Christ, and opposing the president as immoral for impeding the fulfillment of that agenda. Criticizing Christians for supporting such "immorality" is a perversion of goodness and truth so beyond the pale as to be worthy of the devil himself.

Then you were irrelevant to the 2016 election and unless you've wised up some you'll still be irrelevant in 2020. You won't matter. Insignificant. Trifling. Trivial. Etc..

CT never once "agitat(ed) for the advancement of Sodomy, aka LGBTQ+, in the name of Christ." Not once, in the editorial or the letter from the President do you read such a thing. In fact, both take pains to tell you they don't advocate for such behavior.

The letter only expresses that President Trump's personal behavior should have him removed from the office of the President. It does not advocate for any political agendas.

The editorial and letter were quite general as well as being entirely off-base and in denial, which does make them sound like they are not in their right minds. However, the interviews are another matter, that is, they take it to another level entirely.

Maye he did not mean to unmask himself so obviously, but in a Face the Nation interview, Galli even gets a little giddy as he emphasizes support for the LGBTQ+ agenda and thus opposes the president as being in the way of that. I quoted him in another thread, but am making an adjustment to the transcription here:

"We want the United States, everybody—left, right, black, white, of every__ a variety of sexualities—we want them to prosper, and I'm saying that, given the moral character, the public moral character of our president, that's not going to happen, it's likely to degenerate radically over the next__ and it has already degenerated, and it's time for us to put a stake in the ground and say, 'No more.'" [4:29]

Thanks for the link. I heard the comment. I agree with him. I pray for the peace of the city. I want people to prosper. I do not want evil for anyone. That's called...grace. We extend grace to sinners. Homosexuality is no worse of a sin than gossipping and unbeliever's do both. Even believers do both...just as heterosexual Christians still commit sexual sins.
What we desire for all is that they/we repent and submit ourselves under the Sovereign authority of God.
If President Trump were not a Christian there could be no demand from Christians that he change his behavior. He would be acting naturally, like self-centered sinners do. But, since he claims the name of Christ, he is held to the standard of all servants of the King. He is to treat others, even enemies, with a Godward nature. The editor is saying that Trump has failed to represent Christ to the world and therefore should be removed from his office. We would do the same thing if a pastor acted the way President Trump has acted toward the unsaved.
Or, maybe some churches would not reprimand their pastor for being unloving, mean spirited and vindictive...as long as the church prospered financially. I can't speak for other churches, but my pastor's would be reprimanded and likely removed.

    Nope.
My decision is based upon who should represent me. Neither party represents me. Neither presidential candidate represents me. Why vote for a person who is not going to represent you?

The problem is, it's offensive to leftist to even call homosexuality a sin. For them is it something wonderful that should be celebrated and never spoken against.

And unfortunately, Christians like you are trying to appease them in dropping the subject altogether. You would never think of ceasing to calling out gossip, or drunkenness, or any other sin, but get amazingly quiet over this issue.

Christians aren't out the streets condemning homosexuality, but they do reserve the right to call it a sin, and to urge people to turn from it, if opportunity presents. The left fights this, and Christians like you are helping them, by obfuscating the issue as you did above.

Conservative Christians also support protecting homosexuals from persecution and murder in Islamic nations. The left is strangely silent on this. But tell the truth about it in America? Anathema! Even leftists Christians will join their outrage.

Indeed, it is offensive to any sinner when their behavior is called sin.
Two wonderful Christian writers to read are Christopher Yuan and Rosaria Butterfield, both formerly in sexual sin, whom God has redeemed. With people, we emphasize reconciliation with God. As we witness we share that all sin breaks relationship with God and requires reconciliation. When we get saved we keep finding there is more and more sin of which we must repent. This is true for all Christians, including those who are in sexual sin.
    Listen to Rosaria.

So again, stop helping the left by minimizing this sin. Call it what it is, and stop worrying about comparing it to others sins. Just be bold and stand for God's word.

No one is minimizing it. However, the sins of our President are no less. They are just different. As a Christian, the church must confront sin in the camp. Let us not minimize any sin.
