Can death be a form of healing?

I have always believed that when healing is requested through prayer for an ill brother or sister, the person in need of healing can experience healing even if death comes to their doorstep as a result of our prayers.

I wonder how that view sets with my brothers and sisters here on the Board? It is not that I seek "death" or include "death" in my prayer of faith, but, should God take that believer home to glory, should, and can, we rejoice with that response as a divine answer from God regarding the healing and future health of the believer in need of prayerful healing?

I would welcome your responses. Views. And thoughts on this often controversial subject when it comes to healing prayers!

SHALOM, and Happy New Year to everyone of my brothers and sisters on this AWESOME Board of faith and belief!

I have heard that Alistair Begg once said this:
"We spend more time in prayer meetings asking God to keep saints out of heaven than we spend asking God to keep sinners out of hell."

I do not believe it is wrong for us to seek God's healing in this life and believe He can miraculously do so. But, like Lazarus, even if God heals us we will eventually die. Therefore, the ultimate healing is when we are raised to be with Christ forever and our new bodies are given to us for an eternity of use.

    The Death of Moses
Then Moses went up to Mount Nebo from the plains of Moab and climbed Pisgah Peak, which is across from Jericho. And the Lord showed him the whole land, from Gilead as far as Dan; all the land of Naphtali; the land of Ephraim and Manasseh; all the land of Judah, extending to the Mediterranean Sea; the Negev; the Jordan Valley with Jericho—the city of palms—as far as Zoar. Then the Lord said to Moses, “This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have now allowed you to see it with your own eyes, but you will not enter the land.”

So Moses, the servant of the Lord, died there in the land of Moab, just as the Lord had said.
    (Deuteronomy 34:1-5)

Death is an unnatural intrusion into life. We were created to live forever.

    Peace to you

That's how I looked at it when my stepdad died. I had spent the entire 10 years he was sick believing he would be healed. That finally came in the form of him going to heaven

My Dad back in 1994 got dementia at around the age of 72 and was not the man he use to be and knew it... He was very strong in his faith and of all his children I knew it, I the most because he was also my brother in the church and I knew what he believed... He decided he wasn't going to be an invalid and have to depend on others and when he was hospitalized two years later, he refused everything and willed himself to die... And he did at the age of 74, his way!... He was a strong man with a stronger belief and I rest in knowing he is now with his Lord and mine... Brother Glen:)

Before I forget it, my Mother is there too!

In over 50 years in the church I have picked up what I call preacherisms... One I particular like, was on death... One preacher said: I have no fear of dying but when it comes my time, if the Lord could just take me up as he did Enoch, that would be fine with me... That way I avoid the process...
