ESV: Catholic Edition

    ESV Catholic Edition ...

    The fact that Crossway publishes a Catholic Edition of the ESV:

    Is this a good thing that they've made an ESV available to Catholics, or is this a bad move on their part?

    I do not see how it can be a bad move on their part. They will receive money for it, and in theory Catholics will have a better Bible.

    Here's the scoop.

    Crossway is a family business. Jan Dennis (now a literary agent) made a lot of money for the family company by 'discovering' their bestselling spiritual warfare fantasy author Frank Peretti. That $$$ is what enabled them to undertake the translation and publication of their own Bible version (ESV)...
