Who of the YEC (Young Earth Creationist) in San Diego California doesn't know the work of Dr. Henry Morris and his book the Genesis Flood... I remember going to the ICR... He co/founded the Christian Heritage College first in 1970 and two years later in 1972 the ICR... The Institute For Creation Research is on the outskirts of San Diego and visiting the site and the museum and learned a lot and did an intensive study on the subject myself and had just joined the church... And a lot has happened since then but he laid the groundwork, in his book with Whitcomb... Never had the opportunity to meet Dr. Morris and after over 50 years I'm still YEC and I'm still KJV but that's another subject all together... Brother Glen:)

Glad to hear it has been expanded over the years. Over the nearly 60 years since I first used this in a seminary classroom, I've witnessed rank unbelief in historicity of Scripture or appeasement of so-called "science" have led many away from a 24-hour day creation and a God Who can judge sinful mankind with a cataclysmic world-wide flood, even within "evangelical" circles.

Jesus taught creation. He taught the Flood. He taught Jonah and the whale. When we say we do not believe those, we call Jesus a liar or at least something less than the only perfect God-man.

Science will never agree with what the Bible says concerning the flood of Noah's day. Some 'scientist's' may, if they are Christian. But, as has been seen, many of them opt for a local flood instead of a universal one.

Everything about the flood record in (Genesis) was miraculous. It was of God. It was God moving and interrupting the normal laws by which the earth was then running on. These were laws which He too had established.

From God's command to Noah to build the Ark, to its end on Mount Ararat, all was miraculous. And Science doesn't have the tools to measure or verify such actions.

One of peices of evidencce for the global flood are the common fossils on to separated continentes, South America and Africa. The dating of that separation though is typical dated to be between over a period of some 300 million years.

Scientists may not ever agree with the Bible today, but science in many ways does. There's nothing wrong with the data. There is physical evidence of a flood, but often it is subjected to human theory, and rational reasoning is employed to explain it. God is reasoned away along with the flood and other events.

Where did all that water come from? Why did it rain? There was no need for rain till the flood. All was from God.

Dating based on what? That things were then as they are now?

The flood was of God. It interrupted the laws of nature that were then in motion. Science can't see or verify that.

I agree that God can easily have brought all of the rain. I also believe that it was highly likely that there was far more water in the atmosphere pre-flood. It also talks of water coming up from the ground. There is so much that man only thinks that he knows.

There is evidence enough of a flood that does get glossed over besides God's word. God's word though is enough for me to know that a worldwide flood occurred.

That is true. There were waters above the firmament. (Gen. 1:6-7). And they were dumped upon the earth. (Gen. 7:11) And the waters beneath were broken up and allowed to flood also. (7:11) All of this along with the rain.

The earth as it existed prior to the flood, would not exist anymore.

I agree, the Word of God is enough for me also.

More bull. Science 'assumes' that everything is as it has always been. But it hasn't. Science dating methods are irrelevant.

The real bull is, I know of no real Creation science, that explains the graduated dating from the bottom of the Atlantic trench for the common dating on the two continents. Their common fossil record dating would otherwise be the strongly support for the global flood.

None of which applies. The world has not always existed as it is today. All of science dating is based on that constant. Things are now as they have always been. Which is where science is in error.

That flood evidence even being dated some millions years shows the continents have moved apart sense the global flood.
