Just a few years ago the Convention's publishing arm sold another much larger headquarters (for 125 million $$$) and retreated to downsized digs in Nashville's North Gulch.

No word yet on how much $$$ they're getting selling off the new headquarters they built in 2017:

Nashville Post • January 27, 2021 • Press release: headquarters building LifeWay built in 2017 is "under contract to be sold"

The sale price and buyer were not disclosed. "The release notes Lifeway will continue to occupy a portion of the North Gulch building over the near term until it determines a location for its new headquarters."

Just like other retailers, Amazon has hurt Lifeway. Christianbook.com has also left a mark. Almost all chain "Christian" bookstores have gone out of business. I used to enjoy a trip to the Lifeway store to browse Bibles and Christian books and music.

I wonder if they still are the primary resource for Southern Baptist Churches Sunday School material?
