Referring just to the linked article and not to the GND, the article presents an invalid argument.

Yes, lots of jobs will be lost for those who produce products necessitated by the internal combustion engine.

But the claim we could not build enough electrical generation to supply BEVs is fiction. And the idea that pollution would increase by burning natural gas in efficient generation plants rather than vehicles is fiction.

And note that BEVs would recharge overnight, when existing generation runs at less than maximum output would cushion the transition to a more robust electrical system.

Take a real look at the problem, the Democrats and NIMBYs prevent increasing our generation capacity, and then push for the most expensive electrical generation facilities.

Each individual single family home, if equipped with solar power (say 5 kw capacity) could recharge BEVs during the day, and help fill the gap between today's demand without widespread BEVs and the increased demand after the transition.

The ban on combusion engine vehicles takes place in 2035 for Japan.

I'm having trouble locating the original press release quoted in the article but it looks like he softened his tone for the official new year's video released on the Japan Automotive Manufacturer's Association website. He talks about the ban at around the 9:00 mark. It is subtitled.

The organization is supportive of the overall vision of the country's carbon neutral 2050 goal and the manufacturers are committed to the goal of transitioning to electronic vehicles. However he makes a good point that Japan's electrical generation system needs a massive overhaul and is still very much dependent on fossil fuels, especially since they have been reducing their dependence on nuclear since Fukushima. 14 years is a very short period of time to ramp up their renewable energy generation. The first half of 2020 they were able to increase their renewable generation to 23% which is a sharp increase from 2019 when it was 18%. But reduction in overall generation due to covid played a part. They have their work cut out for them but they have the most important ingredient, political will.

The comment on the ban causing the automotive industry to collapse is a bit ridiculous. People will be buying electric vehicles instead of internal combustion vehicles and the car manufactures will still be raking it in. That is probably why they did not include it in the later video.

Well if you cant make enough electric power to power all the electric vehicles, something has to give.
Like fewer cars. Cars that only rich people can afford to use.
If people can not afford cars, that means the entire car industry will go down.
And if not as many people can afford to drive places, that wont bother many politicians.
Millions who live in rural areas have to use cars to get to a store or a doctor or whatever.

GND evangelists claim new technologies must be invented to make enough electricity and batteries for all the world's cars. The tech right now does not exist, it may never exist, no guarantee on that. Many people are swayed by science fiction movies of flying cars, dna manipulation, eugenics, medical advances to live forever, space travel, androids, alien races, the imagination of man's heart God says is evil from his youth. If anything, it has gotten more imaginative.

20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
21 And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.

    22 “While the earth remains,
    Seedtime and harvest,
    Cold and heat,
    Winter and summer,
    And day and night
    Shall not cease.”

With regards to Musk's quote, it was that the demand would double. And while he acknowledged that it would be challenge to meet with sustainable sources, he was not saying that we cannot do it.

Musk predicts full autonomy from 2021, says EVs will double electricity demand

A pretty terrible abuse of scripture.

According to that interpretation, this is a massive list of evil produced by man's imagination.

For many reasons people don't like what God in scripture really says. Imagination is just another example and God also says the world system, the ways of the world and man are devilish and evil. And someday He will make a complete end of that in a sudden fiery destruction, and there will be no more electricity, cars, medical care, internet, publishers, movies, TV and web browsers, etc....

    Another example
    1 John 5:19
We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.

That means all of man's technology, the inventions are under the sway of Satan, so they are corruptible and corrupted towards evil things. Basic human society is evil, so what natural man does is all of evil as it is under the sway of the devil,

If the world was very good, God would not destroy the world, but the creation is no longer very good. God does not tolerate any evil, so if something has had a touch of evil, it is evil and He will destroy it. Because of the FALL in Eden, man is corrupted of evil, devil is evil, even the universe is touched with evil, the devil had touched the kingdom of God in heaven and had access to God, so God will someday make a new beginning, new heavens and new earth, and it will no longer be corruptible or evil, it will be impossible to corrupt into evil again and he will destroy all the evil in a lake of fire from which no evil can escape.

    Talk about eisegesis, yikes.

Imagination of man’s heart is just our thoughts.

The phrase is also used in Genesis 6:5 KJV

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

God does not weight the human heart on a scale against a feather...to gain entrance to heaven, they all go to hell fire unless
born again into a different kingdom, one which is of God, not one which is of devil.
Lets see, there are 2 basic kingdoms, one is the kingdom of darkness and evil, the other is the kingdom of God and good.
Which one is evil, limited and will go to destruction, and which one is good, eternal, will never be destroyed.

    As are man's works evil.
What this is really saying, man is at the core, evil, in thoughts and deeds, unless God grants enlightenment to know the truth and be born again. Then they can do good works, but those works God prepared beforehand for them to do, they are not coming ever from any of man's thoughts, they are inspired of God.

Eisigesis is to read into a passage what is not there.

And while some of the ideas you state are in other passages in scripture (with a lot of caveats), they are not in this one except that man is at the core sinful.

Too many people love their life in this world and they love the things of the world, which is evil. And when you tell them that the works of the world are evil, they will hate you for telling them the truth.

God also uses evil things for His good purposes.
    1 John 2:15
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
    1 John 2:16
For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.

    Luke 14:26
“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

    Matthew 10:37
He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

    John 7
4 For no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world.”
5 For even His brothers did not believe in Him.
6 Then Jesus said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.
7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil.

    2 Timothy 4
9 Be diligent to come to me quickly; 10 for Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica—Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia. 11 Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for ministry.
