    There IS no defense for creating a 'priest' that never was ordained in the Roman Church, who admitted he CANNOT read or understand Latin, Greek or Hebrew (Aramaic). He could never validate any so called 'ordination' by the Jesuits. Every ordained priest in the Roman Church has credentials and ordination certificates. He claimed 'the evil Jesuits snuck into his home and destroyed all the evidence! He had NO formal training in ANY seminary. He was a FRAUD from the start. Christianity Today just broke the tip of the ice-burg on Jack Chicks LIES. The link mentions the 'end justifies the means'. HA! This is exactly what Chick Publications did in their effort to smear the Roman Church. I don't care what you believe about the teachings of the Church. Creating publications based on a fraudulent 'priest' is inexcusable and I'm surprised that their is a 'any enemy of my enemy is my friend attitude among participants on this board. Attack the Church on what ever you wish to, but don't back Chick Publications and their fraudulent tactics.

    his own story is that he was born in Spain and educated at a Catholic seminary. He claims to have been sent to destroy various Protestant organizations and discredit Protestant leaders, before becoming disillusioned upon finding that the Vatican was behind Freemasonry. He claims that he exposed the Catholic Church at an Ecumenical Conferrence in 1967 at a stadium in Costa Rica to 50,000 people. He claims that the Jesuits sent him to a top-secret location in Spain (then ruled by the Franco dicatorship) to make him recant his faith. According to Rivera, he was tortured and put on drugs until he nearly died. He claims that he was put into an iron lung because his lungs had broken down. But nearly at death, he claims that he asked Jesus to forgive him and then Jesus set him free. He then claims that he flew to London and rescued his sister, a nun, after she nearly died in a convent.

    According to Rivera, Jesuits are responsible for the recession, communism, Nazism, the World Wars, the Jonestown Massacre, and the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, for which Jack Chick takes Rivera as an authority. Some of these claims are that the Catholic Church justifies homosexuality and abortion, that the Charismatic Movement is a front for the Catholic Church, that the Popes are antichrists, that the Catholic Church is the Whore of Revelation, and that the Prophet Muhammad was used by the Catholic Church to create Islam and destroy the Jews and Christians.

    Sportzz Fanzz, the RCC has enough actual heresies & false doctrines so no one has to go far to find some. No one needs to show how bad they are by LYING about them. Lying is as bad a sin as anything the RCC does.

    Lying about anyone or anything is bad. Jack Chick maybe sincere and be wrong. Specifics need to be addressed. With generalities there is a very good chance of being wrong.

    How does one distort Catholic doctrine? Catholic doctrine is whatever they say it is at any given time. Don’t you know the Pope speaks ex cathedra?

    This is a so called Baptist web site and you guys are defending the Demonic Catholic Church against a Baptist. You guys are a bunch of frauds and it would not surprise me much to find out that some of you are purposeful sowers of disinformation.

    No Baptist here is defending the RCC. Again, they have lotsa false doctrines & prectices to choose from when criticizing them, so there's no need to LIE about them, which is what the Chick org does. The whole Rivera thingie is one big prevarication! Why are YOU, a Baptist, defending a LIE & the one(s) who told it?

    According to John in the Revelation this religion is responsible for killing the apostles and prophets of Christ. The system predates Christianity by thousands of years. It has been cleverly adapted to mimic Christianity. It has been accepted as such by the nations of the world, except America. We had questions about electing Catholic leaders as late as the 1960’s when JFK became the first Catholic president. I remember it well. It was a campaign issue.

    For information on who killed Lincoln I recommend the book “ Fifty Years in the Church of Rome” by Charles Chiniquy.
