    Here is the heart-felt question of one believer -
    ...do 'slacking soul-winners' result in MORE people going to hell? ...

    ...do diligent soul-winners result in MORE people going to heaven?
    The Exhaustive Determinist answer is no, God determined those going to heaven, and thus the rest not going to heaven before creation.

    The Scriptural answer is yes, diligent evangelism "hastens the day" thus more people per time interval, so the end of the age occurs sooner, resulting in less people not going to heaven.

    Two very different gospels...

    Just think all those poor souls going to hell on account of your forever lolly gagging on this board with all these saved folks. If you really really believe that you carry the antidote to the fatal sting that can save folks from an infinity of torment then you ought to spend every waking hour trying to persuade the hell bound to take the antidote.

    Van... You need to open your eyes... No one can do the Lords work but the LORD alone... And like scripture say ALL his Father gave him he won't lose a one... Now tell me how did ALL these people get to Heaven?... Like Jesus said I AM THE WAY!... Brother Glen:)

    Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

    10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

    This thread brings to mind what God said to Ezekiel, in Ezekiel 33:8-9, . . . When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. . . ."

    Why ask for the well known verse that says we can "hasten the day?"
    Try 2 Peter 3:12

    I cannot believe you actually cannot comprehend basic Christian doctrine.

    When are individuals "given" to Christ? When God transfers them spiritually into Christ, resulting in Christ's promise to not cast them out.

    Once again, this poster posts nonsense with no quotes.
    Who saves individuals, the one who plants or waters or tills the ground? Nope, God alone causes the increase.
    But, contrary to the false doctrines of Calvinism, His witnesses contributor to leading individuals to Christ, not just with words and tracks, but with the example of their lives. Only mislead Calvinism deny the necessity and effectiveness of evangelism. Who can believe without a preacher with great looking feet.
