Courses taught by well known bible teachers and scholars including Darrell Bock, Greg Beale,Gerald Bray, Michael Kruger, Bill Mounce, Sean McDowell, Thomas Schreiner and many more. If you want to increase your understanding of Scripture and Theology, but not the money or time to study full-time college, Biblical Training is perfect, completely free and online.

I was about to recommend caution, it being only online and free, but then I looked at the list of profs, and there are some major scholars listed. Go for it! (Thanks Mikey for listing some of the scholar-professors.)

The caveat is that you can get an education online, but you usually won't get mentored. I've taken many online classes and been helped, but where I teach nowadays does not do online classes, because we put a high value on person to person mentoring. I just attended the wedding of two of my further students, now headed out for missionaries to an Asian country, and I was so proud of them! We had many personal interactions when they were in my classes.

I'd say this is definitely a valuable resource for supplemental learning or just as a refresher? I do not know if there is actual coursework involved or whether such would be adequately evaluated and graded. This is where the real educational experience is found and you need to interact with your professors as John of Japan is saying here. I wouldn't expect such if everything is being offered for free but local pastors and other qualified (seminary educated) people could probably fill in these gaps? What of this Okangan Bible College that seems to offer degrees? How could they offer such a program for free and do you really get what you pay for?

I would say that you ought to pay tuition just for the fact that it reflects commitment and that you are taking your education seriously.

I'm bookmarking this site though, thanks for sharing!

There are advantages and disadvantages between Online/Distance learning and In-person Learning, I think both have a place. Not everyone is able to attend bible college in-person for a whole host of reasons, but may be able to attend online. Lecturer-student interaction/discussion etc is important and though it can be done to certain degree via online courses, it is better in-person.

BiblicalTraining isn't that, it isn't a substitute for a true bible college experience or learning. However, as i said above if Bible college/Seminary isn't an option - for whatever reason - BiblicalTraining is an accessible platform to use to learn theology.

I would say that you ought to pay tuition just for the fact that it reflects commitment and that you are taking your education seriously.

I would push back slightly here, that one has to suffer a financial cost to learning, for the learning to be taken seriously. Sure some (*most?) people may need financial buy-in for them to take the learning seriously and to avoid slacking. However, there are many who do not require financial cost to motivate them.
