    I am wondering if there is a verse in the Bible that shows God is the giver of life in regards to babies.
    Something that may show that life is not just biology, but God is the giver of all human life.
    Thank you.

    All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

    Psalm 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord; and the fruit of the womb His reward.

    A Psalm of David (David speaking about God):

    "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wondeerfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well" (Ps. 139:13-14, ESV).

    I believe one of the most commonly cited passages and one of the most beautiful images in the bible (IMO) is Psalm 139:13-14.

    partialrapture suggests:
    Job 33:4 The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

    Many verses don't go much beyond God starting the procreation process (with Adam and Eve)and then simply allowing natural biology to take its course without the need for God's further involvement. Except perhaps God withholding the natural course of biology, shutting the womb or not for example. Therefore the need for God to be DIRECTLY involved to give life to a baby, is harder to find in the Bible.

    In the above verse, what do you think "the breath of the Almighty hath given me life means?" in relation to a baby.

    Could it mean God breathed life into Adam, and this life is passed down through the generations, or something else?

    Nothing exists except as a concept in the mind of God; that is true for every atom, every electron, every galaxy, and every baby, and even you and me.

    A few verses I found by searching for the phrase "all things:"

    John 1:3
    3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
    NASU

    Acts 17:24-26

    24 "The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands;

    25 nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things;

    26 and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation,
    NASU

    1 Cor 8:6
    6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.
    NASU

    1 Cor 11:12
    12 For as the woman originates from the man, so also the man has his birth through the woman; and all things originate from God.
    NASU

    Col 1:16
    16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities -- all things have been created through Him and for Him.
    NASU

    Heb 1:3
    3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power.
    NASU

    Rev 4:11
    11 "Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created."
    NASU
