    Good morning all:

I have been up since 4:00, but after we delivered the papers, Brent and I had a 'date' at a local restaurant for biscuits and gravy. Yummmmmm! (We do this every Saturday morning 'cause we deserve it!)

We went to the "Farmer's Market" before we came home to pick up some tomatoes, fresh green beans, and green peppers.

When we got home, he took one couch and I took the other, we both slept for three hours!!!

Dale, Brent and I had 'family night' last night and stayed up until 10 watching the original "Old Yeller" and "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" (Don Knotts).

Tonight we are watching "The Ten Commandments" (Charleton Heston), but we will start earlier in the evening!

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday!

    TTFN!

Boy Howdy. I'm taking a break from edging, trimming and mowing the lawn (and watching Nebraska get beat up in college football).

Will be in-and-out throughout the day. TTFN

Jon's coming over after church tomorrow to do our yard work. His Dad is working 10- 12 hour days and is supposed to work everyday for the next 3 weeks with no day off. So.... our very sweet 28 year old is helping out. [IMG]

Our daughter and her husband are heading to Connecticut this weekend. Joe's being offered a job at a station where he worked before on the morning show. They've got to do some house hunting too because the position starts in 2 weeks! I sure hope they get a decent salary. I'm NOT happy that they'll be so close to the Catholic inlaws. There goes the grandkids!

Our oldest son and his wife are coming in less than a month and I get to keep Jack for 5 days while Mom and Dad attend a church function in Atlanta. They go every year.

Hey Everyone. We just got Daddy off to Mexico. The girls are sad. They already miss him - just knowing they don't have access to him.

I think we are gonna go and play somewhere this afternoon - not sure just where yet.

So far, the salvaged fish babies are still salvaged.

Sorry Ed. As long as hubby is at work, I'm spared! LOL

He won't let me watch Trading Spaces! Unfair, Unfair!

Well 2 hours later and Nick's stopped coughing and fallen asleep. Jim's been fed his pork chops, corn on the cob and summer squash and is watching baseball. My tummy is getting better...

Tomorrow Jon will be here to do some yard work for us. Poor Jim has to work from right after church until 5:00 but an hour from here. We'll have our roast when he gets home.

I've got to clean out the swimming pool (12 foot above ground) and close it down for the season. With all the rain and cloudy days, it got greenish.. yuk! The kids did try to weed the sandbox. There again, all the rain and wind allowed grass 'seeding' to land and take root. It's amazing what a few weeks of bad weather can do!

I need to get to bed! Ty comes at 5:30 again starting Monday morning and this sick tummy from the antibiotic didn't let me sleep well for a few nights.

I know what IOU stands for! Been going to that school for 56 years . .

Gotta head to bed early. Drive two hours into the high plains to Dry Creek (Bill, WY, pop. 4) for Sunday Services and a carry in dinner.

Tomorrow is the last "warm" day of the summer, according to our infallible meteorologists. It will be 85F again. They say starting Monday we should expect temps to be 70-72F for highs and 35-40F for lows for the next ten days.

    Then cooler.

Sure am glad I'm taking off for Vegas. It was over 100F there again today.

    Ugh.

Wow... I'd LOVE to have 72° for the highs and 40° for the lows this early in the fall! It's supposed to hit 88° today with a low of 65°, and that's too warm for me!

Today is our second Sunday with our new group of children. I know of one child who has Coxsakie Virus so don't expect her to attend. My membership is 23 I seem to remember. We had to transfer in some who were promoted too soon and had one or two new members last week so I'm not that positive. I have 11 who never miss Sunday or Wednesday and some of the children come on Wed. but don't come to Sunday School. They're good kids tho! Our lesson today continues with the spies who went into the promise land. Let's see if they can remember the big fruits and big people, etc. Like Addi says... 'The land of milk and restaurants!'

"Let every detail in your lives, words, actions, whatever, be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way" Colossians 3:17

We're going to have Hurricane Ivan visit us while Sheila and Rob are trying to fly back to North Carolina. We need some prayers!

If you look at the other maps, our home is just 1 mile or less south from I-20 in the last county before Alabama. We're on the east end of the county. Ivan is to come right through here and we're only about 45 miles to the airport!

    Good morning all:

I stayed up for over 25 hours! I went to bed at 4:00AM and got back up at 7:00AM after Grandpa and I delivered papers (Sunday's papers are just too large for Brent). Can you say N A P?

I am having 9 for dinner and I have the loin roast in the crock pot already. Will also have mashed potatoes, 'sweet' carrots, and baked beans.

Shawna is staying here until her surgery (23rd) and for 4-6 weeks after. So, now we have FIVE people here!

Shawna is on the couch right now, but will be sleeping on the bottom bunk in Brent's room as soon as hubby gets Bobby's bedroom (in the basement) finsihed. I think he is putting the drywall (sheetrock) up this afternoon - after he installs some electrical outlets...

Gosh Sue! You need to get more rest!

Brent has his urologists appointment this week, correct? The 17th? Still praying for a complete healing!

Tell Dale he'd better be nailing quietly so you can sleep. LOL.

We had 14 in Sunday School out of 18 children on role. It pays to contact the families during the week. [IMG] We also had some visitors. The kids were pretty good. One of the kids from 'before' came into my room even tho I think he belongs in the other class. He runs around and gets the others reved up. I hate to say too much since mother only comes once in a while.

Well, more work to do. It's impossible to get things done with 6-7 kids here and I have to go to bed so early with Ty coming in at 5:30 a.m. Mon. thru Thursday! Yawn.... I could never lose sleep the way Miss Sue does!

BTW... tummy is all better. I got some 'good bacteria' pills and took them all day yesterday.
