Luke 7:33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.
34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!

God the Son drank wine and was accused of being a drunk. Are you that forbid the drinking of wine doing the same?

What makes no sense is the taking of one passage given to Aaron and his sons...under the Law...regarding drinking WHILE IN THE TABERNACLE and twist that to mean drinking is sin. Nice try, but it doesn't work. Please explain Isaiah 25:6. All of you "drinking is sin" people ignore that text.

 I have yet to see a glass of wine mock me or go into a raging fit.

Have I ever said I abstain from alcohol? I don't believe I have.

I think you and those with like mindedness are stumbling blocks for Christians who don't hold to the same foolish legalistic standards as you. The Word of God is the judge...not you.

I guess you must be saying God is foolish and legalistic too. It is His Holy Word that says 'Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his color in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.' 'Stay away from it!

It is not legalistic to obey God's Word. But it is very much liberalistic to live against it.

Nope--I sure don't---except when I run into people on the BaptistBoard who are antagonistic.

the Psalmist writes that "wine gladdens the heart of a man." God gave us the fruit of the vine to enjoy.

Psalm 104:15 –And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.

    H3196 yayin yah'-yin
From an unused root meaning to effervesce; wine (as fermented); by implication intoxication: - banqueting, wine, wine [-bibber].

My views line up with the Word of God. Again, is God foolish? Is God legalistic?

'Look not upon the wine when it is red...'

    7200. ra'ah (Look)
    Search for H7200 in KJVSL
    har ra'ah raw-aw'

a primitive root; to see, literally or figuratively (in numerous applications, direct and implied, transitive, intransitive and causative):--advise self, appear, approve, behold, X certainly, consider, discern, (make to) enjoy, have experience, gaze, take heed, X indeed, X joyfully, lo, look (on, one another, one on another, one upon another, out, up, upon), mark, meet, X be near, perceive, present, provide, regard, (have) respect, (fore-, cause to, let) see(-r, -m, one another), shew (self), X sight of others, (e-)spy, stare, X surely, X think, view, visions. (Strongs)

Too many arguments in one verse to overlook the fact that God does not want His children drinking alcoholic beverages.

Do not provide - That friend of HP's provided alcohol for his son... no righteousness in that.

The wine that gladdens the heart cannot be the same wine that brings sorrow, such as the alcoholic beverage that Solomon speaks of in the twenty-third chapter of Proverbs.

The wine that gladdens the heart does not bite like a serpent and sting like an adder. It does not cause redness of eyes, it does not bring woe.

H7200 is the word for saw, see, seen, appear, looked upon. etc.

So what are you trying to say.

Wine has rendered only from two words.

The scripture I gave you renders it as alcoholic.
