“This is a show trial,” Dershowitz said during an interview Friday with Newsmax TV’s Steve Malzberg.

“Today had nothing to do with justice. Today was crowd control. Everything today was motivated by a threat of riots and a desire to prevent riots.”

“There’s no plausible, hypothetical, conceivable case for murder under the facts as we now know them,” Dershowitz said.

“The mayor and the state attorney have made it virtually impossible for these defendants to get a fair trial,” Dershowitz said

Who cares what Dershowitz has to say? Anybody can find a legal expert who says otherwise.

Defense attorney A. Dwight Pettit said the prosecutor "is going to have a rough road to travel" — but he believes the charges are reasonable.

"At least the public will be able to see that battled out in the courtroom," he said. "For the first time, it is not swept under the rug."

That's the same A. Dwight Pettit that said charges against George Zimmerman were justified.

He missed that one by a mile. Who knows? Maybe he'll get this one right.

Probably not. Murder is a non starter. Most attorneys without a racial axe to grind agee.
