I just re-read the novel "1984" by George Orwell. It's incredible how well he predicted exactly what's going on in America today.
The three slogans of Big Brother were:
1. War is Peace,
2. Freedom is Slavery
3. Ignorance is Strength
Today's statements totally consistent with these "facts" are:
Alternative facts
No more facts
Hitler was an extreme leftist
Christians support war and not healthcare
The new tax plan will be better for everyone
I will repeal and replace Obamacare but Kentuckians won't lose their insurance (McConnell)
Russia is our friend
Trump's Inaugural crowd was the largest in history
Increasing military expenditures will make the world safer
9/11 was planned and orchestrated by a Muslim from a cave in Afghanistan
There are weapons of mass destruction in Iran
Christians should hate other people because of their religion or race
and so on......

He was right in the strictest sense of the definitions. Communism was most definitely post U.S. Constitution. Capitalism as a formalized concept was as well. Calling fellow believers stupid is Christ like?
