Cable News

I have been convicted of spending more time watching cable news then reading the Bible. I am becomming more of a culture warrior then a follower of Christ. I purpose in my heart to watch less and less of CNN & FOX NEWS and spend more time in the word. It certainly will be more encouraging and contain more spiritual nourishment.

Great decision!

I stopped watching any kinds of television news years ago. Mrs PJ and I have also cut off our cable over a year ago (what a HUGE blessing) and have cut back our television viewing considerably in the same time.

About the only thing I watch with any amount of consistency is NFL football...which means I have 7 months of open Sundays again! :D

I'm always a fan of a media fast and/or developing a media diet. Especially when it focuses us on the unchanging story of God's grace. Great idea!

We haven't owned a television is 15+ years. The only TV in our house is my mother-in-law's who lives with us, and it is in her bedroom.

If I want to see something, I either go and see it (a movie), rent it (movies or TV series), or hit up Hulu or a site like that. It has to be something I really want to see, though.

I spend too much time online, period. I am working on that, though.
