wouldn't get too excited at this point. All the provinces must be involved in any changes to the Bill of Rights.
Whilst the Conservative Party (not to be confused with the US Republican Party) has a number of twice-born believers, including the Prime Minister, this will not repeal the individual rights to say whateve they please. Even now we can preach against homosexuality, but we cannot point a finger at idividuals or organizations from the pulpit or press. This is discrimination. At the same token no one can take aim at us as evangelical Christians lest they be charged with discrimination also. It is called equal rights.
Actons like the evangelical ministerial association took against the law requiring us to perform weddings under our provincial licences. We won and were allowed to choose who we would marry, but this didn't prohibit gays from being united, under law, as a couple. It is called civil rights for all citizens of Canada.
Cheers,
Jim
