The article makes some useful points, but this particular one appears to be greatly exaggerated.

Far from looking embarrassed, Fauci appears to double down. To be embarrassed he would need a conscience of his own.

He should be far more than embarrassed. He should at least be thoroughly ashamed. But he seems to be lacking the equipment for that.
