Eager cookie customer clears out church fundraiser - Times Leader

a single customer cleared out the entire shop....Holy Trinity Orthodox Church held its fifth annual Christmas cookie and goodie sale Saturday, with 19 volunteer bakers preparing 17 different varieties of cookies in batches of 12 dozen each. The event was supposed to start at 9 a.m. However, all the cookies were claimed a half hour earlier by an eager patron.....“She didn’t want to bake, and she was just really happy to get them. She liked what she saw, and she was taking them.”

As is often the case, it cost more for the volunteers to make them, than what they charge. This woman probably did her 'Christmas ahopping' in one swoop. I feel sorry for those who were on their way to enjoy the sale at the correct opening time. Scrooge comes to mind.
