from the story:

>The story says this proposal is part of an effort to find the most efficient way to change consumer behavior.

Are not traffic laws an efficient way to change automotive consumer behavior? All government consumer behavior changing regs are not "equal?"

Thanks, billwald.

Your posts rarely make sense, but they never fail to make me laugh.

The OP story is a bit of a misnomer. In reality, metropolitan areas such as Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego counties already exceed those standards. The bill changes very little, except make our politicians look good there they don't deserve it. That said, CA is overregulated in numerous areas, and we need more regulation like we need a hole in the head.
