Facism is the Charge

Here is an abridged definition:

Fascism ... is characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy. ​

And we see oft repeated on liberal cable news outlets that Mr. Trump and his MAGA supporters are fascists.

However lets consider recent history in America.

Which party endorsed "mandates" which is autocratic and strong regimentation of society.

Which side seeks to ban opposing views on public media?

Which party endorsed BLM? Did they not behave like thugs.

Who is trying to remove Mr. Trump from ballots?

 

I am assuming this post was addressed to me.

Eisenhower defined leadership as "getting someone to do what you want them to do because they want to do it."

Yes, there are times when for the common good of a group or society, that action needs to taken more rapidly than can be accomplished by persuasion. Mandatory evacuation of an area where death will occur due to flood or fire springs to mind.

But to claim Fascist behavor such as suppression of free speech is not the mark of the Democrats in power is ludicrous. Democracy requires those consenting to those in charge know the truth, but when facts are hidden and misrepresented to hold on to power, fascism is on display. Those around Mr. Biden knew he was declining and should be replaced, but tried to get him elected again, which is fascism on display again. Cheap fakes anyone?
