That is a LOT of hush money!

Remember Brian Lewis, the ex “right hand man” to Fox News chief Roger Ailes who threatened to spill secrets after being fired and escorted out of the building? You may recall that Lewis was allegedly fired for “financial issues and other performance problems.” However, Politico reported that Lewis had been suspected of leaking information to writer Gabriel Sherman, author of the forthcoming unauthorized biography of Ailes. Now comes word from Gawker that Lewis has been paid $8 million not to talk.

Hush money?? What exactly do you think he needs to be paid "hush money" for? This is nothing more than the huberistic display of what some idiot blogger -- and that's the only kind of venue you will find this story on, is some blogger's idea of being "relevant" -- thinks he knows. That is, other than the move of one major newspaper, and that "story" is what the bloggers are all aflutter about. The New York Times essentially published a rumor about a "settlement" on December 8 -- a rumor, because no one would confirm or deny the alleged "facts" of the story. It's a bunch of hogwash.

What is known is that this fat slob misused and abused his expense accounts, converted Rupert Murdoch's money to his own use, and used overly aggressive tactics in promoting Fox News that the news channel did not want instituted, including putting together a fake Twitter campaign of allegedly "unbiased" tweeters to hype Fox News. Why would anyone need to fake a Twitter campaign when Fox News Channel is the most popular news medium in the U.S.? I know that just gripes your butt, CTB, which is why you started this "discussion."

Fox News has it's issues, but the firing of Brian Lewis isn't one of them.
