    Austin got upset because I commented on an OP that Salty posted on a booth that Burger King set up to memorialize a troubled individual who took his life... If you want to read it in News and Current Events its called Burger King Saves A Seat... You can see the memorial and article there on Steve... My comment was now Steve has a better seat... To which Austin came undone and said you can't say that... Well then what did you want me to say?... Steve is doing a fire dance?... I have met many men like Steve, troubled souls... Maybe if Austin put on Steve's shoes and took a walk, he would then understand why Steve is a troubled soul... I have been on this board for over twenty years been in church for over fifty... What if Jesus took the same kind of attitude with Mary Magdalene?... The man chained to the tombs?... Paid more attention to the man announcing his prayer than the publican... Who smote his chest and said God be merciful to me a sinner... I don't care how others judge me... To me I send the Steve's of the world hope!... False hope you be the judge of that, I won't... My only hope is that Steve has a better seat and that I might sit next to him, who also was once a troubled soul... Oh I've heard of the God of wrath but I serve a merciful God, who gave me what I didn't deserve, don't you?... Brother Glen:)

    Well said.

    Steve may or may not have know God but we do know God knew him, loved him and desired his salvation. I think that we will be surprised at who did and who did not get a “good seat”. The words we should remember are “A just God and a Savior...Look to Me, and be saved”.

    The Context of:
    Isaiah 45:

    1 Thus saith the LORD to His anointed, to Cyrus,
    whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him;

    and I will loose the loins of kings,
    to open before him the two leaved gates;
    and the gates shall not be shut;

    2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight:
    I will break in pieces the gates of brass,
    and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

    3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness,
    and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I,
    the LORD, which call thee by thy name,
    am the God of Israel.

    4 For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect,

    I have even called thee by thy name:

    I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.

    5 I am the LORD, and there is none else,
    there is no God beside me:

    I girded thee,
    though thou hast not known me:"

    ...

    "Tell ye, and bring them near;
    yea, let them take counsel together: (from The WORD)
    who hath declared this from ancient time? (from The WORD)

    who hath told it from that time?
    (from The WORD)

    have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me;

    a Just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

    22 Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth:
    for I am God, and there is none else.

    23 I have sworn by myself,
    the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness,
    and shall not return,
    (from The WORD)

    That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

    24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness
    and strength: even to him shall men come;

    and all that are incensed against Him shall be ashamed.

    25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel
    be Justified and shall Glory."

    I agree we do not know but scripture does tell us one thing that we seem to forget and it is in 1 Samuel and since I don't know I go with scripture because it is there in black and white... Brother Glen:)

    1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

    I leave in the hands a merciful God and Austin you're not a heart reader!

    Thanks for the heads up Silverhair, I don't know why I had Eric on the brain, I changed it, 76 and counting!

    What did I actually say, and what did I object to Glen?
    Your entire post is intended as defamation of my character without even quoting my response to your original post.

    *Hosea 6:4-10*
    What shall I do with you, O Ephraim? What shall I do with you, O Judah? Your love is like a morning cloud, like the dew that goes early away. Therefore I have hewn them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth, and my judgment goes forth as the light. For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings. But like Adam they transgressed the covenant; there they dealt faithlessly with me. Gilead is a city of evildoers, tracked with blood. As robbers lie in wait for a man, so the priests band together; they murder on the way to Shechem; they commit villainy. In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing; Ephraim’s whoredom is there; Israel is defiled.
