Journalistic Ethics Politico ignored with Herman Cain

I agree that they did a bad job or reporting. However Herman Cain did a bad job of dealing with it. From what I understand he was told by Politico 10 days prior to the public disclosure that this was being looked into and he did not do any damage control at all.
I am not saying what the news media was justified in any way, but I am pointing out that Mr. Cain dropped the ball on this and he could have made it a whole lot painful then it was if he had just acted on the early information..

Perhaps, but all's fair in love and politics right?

I agree, off topic, that Cain did a poor job of handling the issue. He had better defenses against such poor journalism and just didn't follow thru.
