More dictatorial idocy: Obama's rules may ban fishing

Then Paul must be a vegetarian or a blatant hypocrite.

Why do you think that? I have never shot an animal and I haven't been fishing since I was in college and I am not a vegetarian. So why do you think Ron Paul is? And if he is, so what? There is nothing wrong with being a vegetarian. And even if Ron Paul is a vegetarian he isn't trying to force anyone else to be a vegetarian. So please explain your comment as I don't understand your reasoning.

Thanks.

House Votes on Bill to Nix Killing Sharks Just for Their Fins
Fishermen kill some 60,000 Pacific sharks every year, tossing their carcasses or dying bodies back into the sea, to satisfy a voracious human appetite for shark's fin soup.
The House on Tuesday moved to stop that practice, voting 390-1 to ban shark finning in all U.S. federal waters extending 200 miles from American shorelines. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, was the lone no vote.

"As an avid sportsman," said Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham, R-Calif., the chief sponsor, "I find this practice horrific and wasteful."

The measure, which still needs Senate consideration, is aimed at Hawaiian longline fishing boats engaged in the lucrative practice of harvesting fins for sale in Asian nations where shark's fin soup is a delicacy. The fins of blue shark that are a by-catch of tuna fishing are sliced off and the dead or dying fish, which are of little other commercial value, are then dumped overboard.

People can get their jollies knocking Ron Paul all they like. He is one of the few, if not the only one, in Congress who votes consistently against the New World Order. I am against the New World Order as well and support Ron Paul in his stand against it.

Please excuse the interruption. The bashing of Ron Paul may now continue.

Interesting comment by Congressman Paul. I've been fishing before, but not hunting. I don't have any moral or ethical issues with fishing or hunting for legitimate purposes. However, I don't hunt or fish because I'm too much of a bleeding heart and I feel sorry for the poor animals. That's got to be painful for them. I can't help but think about how that would feel if that were me being shot or being pulled out of the water with a hook in my mouth to suffocate.

Paul, sing the "filet-o-fish" song by McDonald's 5 times, and get back to me.

:D :D

LOL! I just have a fairly introspective, sensitive personality and the thought of me hunting or fishing just bothers me. I just don't want cause other living creatures pain. However, like I said, I don't have a moral or ethical objection to it. Ironically, I'm a member of the Traditional Bowhunters of Florida. I just am a member because I like archery and I like their target competitions.

I don't doubt that. I just had that stupid filet o fish song stuck in my head...and I saw no point in bearing that burden alone.
