The US spends way too much money on prisons and a lot of other things. But I agree with Rick Perry that the US should show some kind of compassion on our neighbors from the south who have entered the US illegally. We can't rip all these millions of people back out of our society now without hurting Americans as well. We need to figure out a way to allow these immigrants (those who are law-abiding) to remain, to work, and to pay taxes.

At the same time we need to figure a way to close the borders more tightly to stop the illegal flow of people from our border with Mexico. Muslim terrorists are also likely sneaking into the US from Mexico and this border needs to be secured somehow.
