As I was watching Destination Moon from 1950 on Turner Classic Movies, an interesting plot twist occurred. Private Enterprise had built a Rocket Ship but the government, fearing environmental hazard, did not want the ship launched.
Fast Forward about 70 years. SpaceX has built a Rocket-ship, and the government has delayed its approval to launch several times. A few days ago, they had said they would issue their assessment by the end of May. But once again, another delay. However, this time, instead of the usual one month delay, they only pushed the date to June 13, 2022. Hopefully our duly elected government will complete its assessment rather just issue endless delay notices.
