Now that is really funny. The master of dirty tricks whining ......................

Rove was also involved in the leaking the identity of undercover CIA agent Valerie Plame, in order to discredit her husband, Amb. Joseph Wilson, who was criticizing the Bush administration’s claims on Iraq.

After all he was a part of blowing V. Plame's cover which could have resulted in her being murdered.

No one in the Bush admin had anything to do with Valerie Plame's cover. A reporter outed her. Some folks need a reality pill.

You must be in the same dream world that Rove stays in.

Former Bush press secretary Scott McClellan on Tuesday sharply rebuked Rove for absolving himself of personal complicity in the Valerie Plame scandal, alleging that the top Bush strategist privately confessed his role in the leak and apologized for it three times.

"The interesting thing is that Karl Rove actually did apologize to me on three occasions back in July of 2005 when it became known that he was involved," McClellan said. "I'll leave it to other people to judge what it says about someone who will privately make such an apology but is afraid to make such an apology publicly when the cameras are rolling and the spotlight's on him."

That famous line (amended here) from Animal House is one way of looking at Karl Rove's clash with former White House spokesman Scott McClellan over the disclosure of the identity of a CIA operative. Rove assured McClellan that he had nothing to do with the outing of Valerie Plame. McClellan went out into White House briefing room and assured the country that Rove wasn't involved. In fact, Rove was involved. He was the second source for columnist Bob Novak and told a Time magazine reporter that "Joe Wilson's wife" at the CIA was working on weapons mass destruction.

Why would you think that Novak would say otherwise. By the way, your link is off topic ... but it was a nice try on your part to fog the subject. The article you cited is not about his sources, but his defending what he wrote. No one can ask Novak now as he died in 2009.

Rove and Armitage both were party in exposing Plame. Rove lied and got away with it. Rove even admits as much though he waffles quite a lot.

Novak reported the information was provided to him by two "senior administration officials." These were eventually revealed to be Richard Armitage, who e-mailed him using the pseudonym "Wildford", with Novak assuming Karl Rove's comments as confirmation.

Novak said Rove confirmed information from another source, whose identity Novak is still keeping under wraps.

Who cares?

The Plame affair has absolutely nothing at all to do with the topic.

Neither does this.

Rove is on my short list of heroes for this quote:

"Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 in the attacks and prepared for war; liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers."

The Obama administration is giving even longer legs to this quote.

First of all, Plame was never under cover. She was an analyst, not an operative.

Second, she was "outed" in a Newsweek article, not by Karl Rove.

Please get your facts straight.

QUOTE]

Reporters who write articles have sources for their information. No sources, no article.

Novak: Rove confirmed Plame's identity

Novak said Rove confirmed information from another source, whose identity Novak is still keeping under wraps.
http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/07/11/cia.leak/index.html

She was a covert agent:

Valerie Plame — Classified covert CIA officer exposed in Novak's column; Valerie E. Wilson, wife of former U.S. Ambassador Joseph C. Wilson
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plame_affair#Karl_Rove

From Novack's article:

Valerie Plame, is an agency operative on weapons of mass destruction. Two senior administration officials told me that Wilson's wife suggested sending him to Niger to investigate the Italian report.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plame_affair#Karl_Rove

So it is obvious the White House lied about this:

the White House denied that Karl Rove and Lewis "Scooter" Libby were involved in the leak.[17]

Rove stood before a Grand Jury 5 times and answered questions. He was cleared of any accusation. That is the fact.

Why did Rove apologize to Scott McClellan for knowingly sending him to a press conference to pass on the lie?

Why has Rove admitted he confirmed Phame as an agent to Novack?

Why did Novack say that Rove confirmed that Phame was an agent?

All this is well documented.

Well, they've got to criticize somebody. You know they're not going to criticize Mao-Bama or any of the Democrats or Progressives in Congress.

They have to go to the vaults to find some talking points.

Now when they are as concerned about exposing classified national security programs in the NY Times I'll take them seriously.
